The E28 had a very hard winter.

It will be running four 17x9s by next week with 205/45s. A 3.73LSD follows shortly thereafter, and some serious spacer action after that. I'm looking at et6 up front, and either et1 or et-4 out back (depending on how much massaging I can do to the fenders).

I like the hood art, but not on your car. I've always thought yours was a pretty clean example.

I'm surprised to see you do this though. Thought you had more purist in you

do not go 3.73 like I did . . . or maybe I should ask - what is your expectations in going with this size gearing?

You know me better than you think, Mike.

The car is in a bit of a transitional phase, and since the paint is completely shot, I gave my girlfriend free license to do with it what she pleases. It needs a new hood, a new door, and some other minor things. Once that's all in place, a legit paint job is in order.

As for being a purist...nah. They just like me over on that other forum because I have little bumpers.

              I run canyons a lot.
A 3.73 paired with the B35 will keep power on tap through third and even fourth gear where I run, whereas now I'm either right at the rev-limiter in second, or slightly lugging in third in the tight sections.

Additionally, since I live in California and turbo isn't really an option, I need to make the most out of the power I have available to me and still have a reliable car.

If the car was clean, I wouldn't like the hood hood. But it matches. excited about the new setup. I like low cars taht are actually driven.

Is the exhaust supposed to be that low?

I like this car overall. You say it's in a transitional phase and I respect that you continue to have fun with it

I looooooooove the pseudo expressionist/ cubist hood! I'm so tired of seeing these 1/4 assed graffiti pieces on the hoods of cars that look like total garbage. Give your girlfriend some encouragement, and i hope i get to see more stuff like this in the future!

                        Makes me remember this:

Really not feeling the hood bro. The look in the sig is WAY better, imo.
