haha, true...maybe i'll just continue to let nature take its course with the car.

either that, or fix it. I love Mike's car, but id feel terrible doing that to a car that wasn't completely trashed already.

I had the car inspected today and the shop owner loved it. He was quick to make fun of my rust though :-p

Oh man it looks terrible, but I'm still really impressed that you did so much werk. I can't believe that was only 3 days! That car has more attitude than a lot of cars I have seen... Stance accomplished.

I've got a pit in my garage and had to completely re-install the exhaust before I left for h2o so I spent plenty of time under it last week. The chassis and frame rails are rust free. It seems that the body of the car got most of its rust from a negligent previous owner. The car looked like it hadn't been washed in ten years. With the winters here that is no good. Also, where the trunk area is rusted so badly it looks like someone may have sanded the paint to the metal for some reason and then never did anything else with it causing it to obviously rust out. Same story for the rear fenders.

I've got word that theres a fresh e36 sedan in a local u-pull it yard that allows you to take in a battery powered sawzall so the next saturday morning I get free I plan on running up there and cutting the rear section out to use for repairing this disaster.

              Sounds like a good plan.

Damn, you put in work fast! Even though you don't post on here much, I always remember you because of the whole Christmas tree + Corvette in the snow thing

Just a thought.....because of all the rust and all you could always venture down a semi-hoodrat style path with your build. Just a thought.

i had braking troubles with that car that I wasnt into dealing with....

after h2o I put all of the ugly stock crap back on and sold it for twice what I had into it.

Bought another haggard e36 and started all over...

The rear with the oem e46 m3 wheels looks great, the front needs some tuning, and smaller tires....I'll deal with that in the spring, the car is jacked right now so the tire don't rub.

I like threads like this... putting something together from almost nothing. Nice work all around.
