It was a week before h20, and I wasnt into taking the Vette....
Ive been considering picking up an e36 for a daily again, and I hear there will be a fair amount of bmws down there this year... So I searched all weekend for one, and last tuesday night I picked this bone stock, boring, and rusty e36 sedan up.
The next few days consisted of figuring out how to lower the car without coilovers since I knew I'd never get them here in time (e30 lowering springs in the rear, "custom" springs up front) Stretching tires, Painting the M bumper and lowers, fixing some serious brake and exhaust problems, and just a few hours of sleep.
I got the car finished at 3 am on saturday and headed down to meet some friends already there. The car did great, and the weekend was awesome.
Wheel specs: 17 x 8.5 + 13 and 17 x 9.5 +19 Breyton Inspiration.
Tire Specs: 215 40 17 and 225 45 17
Suspension specs: You dont want to know.
Fenders: Baseball Bat roll.
Paint: Custom 8 shades of white and random rust from years of PA winters.
Here's a short photo history of the week...
Tuesday afternoon:

Thursday night:

Friday Evening, about 15 hours before I was planning to leave my nephew was doing work on the paint! After the exterior was ready we spent the entire night getting the car mechanicallly in line.

Saturday, in OC with a few other bimmers...

and Monday night, a quick shoot of the car after surving the trip with its ghetto suspension. The whole thing needs to be lower, but i'll be ordering some coilovers this week to take car of that...

enjoy,
Jason
