started a topic E36 Build the right way.

    E36 Build the right way.

So i think its about time to start my build thread. I bought the car a year ago so here's its story.

This is what the car looked like on day one. I had to put the cover on it not becuse it didn't have plates but becuse I saw the car for what it could become and not for what it was. I'm sure the people that I live around wouldn't see it at all.

I needed to get the thing cleaned up hopefuly that would make me a little less embarrassed to not have the cover on

I ended up getting some wheels off of craigslist and a ddm front bumper. In this pic I'm testing fitment and checking for any issues that needed to be taken care of before it gets sent to the body shop

Ok so the bumper is back and looks great right? ehh well long story short this marks the last time I take anything to a body shop. Not to knock the others cuz there are some bad ass shops around here but I'm going to be taking things into my own hands a little more later. A few weeks later the paint was chipping and under it all it felt like no prep was done at all.

Next up as you can see above was time to get rid of those G** DAmn UFO headlights. Ones again I had to resort to craigslist. Who knows.. Maybe I can actually find someone crazy enough to trade me my ufo's for some factorys? hmmm.. Well 34728 Calls later and I found someone with a red 328i vert that just for the life of him couldn't figure out why I would trade these "awesome" ufo's for a set of stockers and install them! ehh I guess im not a ufo kind of guy.

I drove the car with that damn 1.8L and its automatic bull crap trans for about about 3days and i had it with that damn thing.

    Random guy: nice bimmer

    me: thanks man

Random guy: I hear these e36s are fast. whats done to yours? anything?

me: slowly creeps out the back door

Didn't see this one coming huh? Yea its a v8.. yeah its 302ci..and yes its from a stang. lets do this

Spec stage two should be interesting in this car with this motor.

World class T5 bolted to the engine now.

Here's the motor in the car tons and a half of things left to do still.

I had the front end apart again to put the radiator in and correct the slight fitment issues due to missing screws that where never there.

Now for the gt40 tubular intake manifold to make things a bit nicer looking.

test fitting the mufflers (flow master 40s) and ploting the rest of the exhaust

wheel change again.. picked up a set of style 5's. theres goes one of santa's helpers working on her veedub as I over see her work and make sure she does everything correctly.

I always wanted a pic like this like the ballers.. I couldn't get my cat to stay inside lol

I got sick of the paint chipping. I picked up a great deal on a OEM front bumper via bimmerforums.

Took me about a week to get all the paint off. It was artic silver then 2 other colors I forget what.

Here's my new rig. 22gal twin cylinder. Only part that sucks about it is that theres only one outlet in the house that u can use to run it.

And here it is! i was in shock! RESEARCH AND CORRECT PREP PAYS OFF. It actually ended up looking 1000028x better then the body shops work and this is my first time laying down paint!

Ended up doing my rear bumper.. Came out great too!

Here are my gauges. Yes everything works.

There goes my chrome single wire alternator bling bling doing its job

    Done? NOT!

Dude I had to be drunk.

    Pull it apart.

folding the harness up for removal

Almost as much plastic as under the hood of my mom's benz.

    time for prep

    time to get layyyyed

It realy didn't come out bad at all esp for being under the hood. A little better then I was expecting

Here I'm just reinstalling everything in the bay.

    Not to bad eh?

View inside the grills in front you will see a 3500cfm chrome radiator fan.

Next up.. time to stance the car and get ready for H2o international. I'm going to be picking up coils, m3 moldings and some other goodys you guys and girls will see later.. until then.. Comment!!
