That really is a nice and straight body you're starting with! Wish that my touring shell was half as nice.

The rear panel rust is no problem. However, rusty front fenders means that the vertical brace behind them is probably gobe too. Not such a big deal, though...

I think everything is ok behind there, I did alot of checking when I bought it. Its been inside since then.

Steel doesnt polish up as well as aluminum.

You should half polish her just like you did that plane.

Haha, I have been thinking about doing an 02 project as well. Sounds like almost exactly what I wanted to do.

Well she is no longer a table. I pulled it away from the wall so I could start doing some inexpensive stuff. Sorry the pics arent great, my lap top crapped out on me so Im on an old acer we had laying around.

I forgot how strait she is. Hardly and dents or dings.






The engine bay is even pretty clean.



And the interior is a little full.



The only really bad spots.



This is all surface rust so I dont think itll be too bad.

Nah I have a porsche 944 that I want to put an ls6 in so that will replace it. haha

When my Miata finally left the garage my cat was really bummed out. Always nice to have another heap of metal in the garage to keep stuff on.

Boring update.

I pressure washed the block so it wouldnt be all nasty when I take it to get cleaned up.





And some head.



Also as requested pics of the car itself. I couldnt get a great pic because the e46 vert was in the way and as you can see the car is a makeshift work bench.
