  • How on earth can you afford all these wheels?!

    The SSR's are my favorite.

The trick is I can't afford them, but I buy them anyway

Did some work on the car today

Started by trying on the new wheels

Yes this should look sick once it is on the ground again

Then I cleaned up the garage a bit and re-arranged my wheel stacks for more room.

Some say I have too many wheels, but I say I just don't have enough space...

And then I actually did work on the car afterall

Picked up some parts from Bursons and bolted the turbo onto the car.

      • Pretty much almost finished the wiring and wrapped it up in tape.

Ran out of tape, so need to buy 2 more rolls, so i can then wrap it in conduit over the tape.

Also relocated my ignitor chip to under the wiper motor, so I wouldn't melt it again if i blow a turbo gasket.

Just a little bit left to finish piecing together the wiring and then it is time to put the interior back together.

For Valentine's day, I made my baby a present by mostly finishing up the interior.
            Looks so much prettier now.

                • on a roll with progress this week

                  Things left to do:
                  45deg joint
cut hot pipe down to size
                  Extend power cable
tidy the interior(cable tie wiring out of the way an fit the rest of the trim and seat)

Crank car for a while to ensure oil spreads throughout the engine
                  Fire it up
                  Do an oil change

Test all the interior accessories to make sure all the wiring still works

there is always room for 1 more set....

Shipping from Japan varies in cost depending on the wheel weight

So I had some sets of 15s cost as little as $250 to ship from Japan, and sets of 17s costs usually around $350-400 to post.

He is an import broker in Japan, so he buys the item over there, gets it posted to his house, packages it up and sends it to you.

He is very reliable and deals with customers from all over the world

I buy wheels from the Japan equivalent of eBay auctions, which is Yahoo auctions
