Not saying you should have haha, just that you could have if you wanted to. 15's have a lot of clearance with a stretched tire.

not a damn chance, that was a genuine N1 GTR bumper and it was pretty trashed, sod replacing that. plus I daily drove that and I had to remove the bumper every time I got home to get on and off the drive, plus work car park had speedbumps so it literally just survived being that low, if anything I would rather a larger profile front tyre, keep the same height of bumper to the ground but lower it to have better wheel/arch fitment.

I agree. I think small wheels look great on a lot of early 90's cars. One that I think particularly looks good is a s13 with proper 15" wheels. Everybody is so infatuated with putting 18" wheels on them anymore, I can't stand to see most builds like that. Ive noticed a lot of people have lost touch with the roots of Japanese car modification, and it's sad to see unfortunately. Of course this is just my opinion, so please take it with a grain of salt.

Small wheels are my favorite, seriously considered going 15's or 16's on my e36

    So I made a purchase...

I bought some wheels that I really like, but not a lot of people run them. Yes they're old, yes they're Japanese, yes they're small... However they're not any of the wheels I was originally going to buy. They're made by Yokohama. I got them for a very good deal and I'm VERY excited to get these and start the restoration process! I'm going to contact Pine Engineering about some lips for a resize. That will likely be a few months from now but bear with me, the build is starting to get exciting!

Here's a picture of the wheels, more to come!
