I use e32 cardan, its 11cm longer
I was install it, cuz i dont want to move brake booster and dont want weld engine pallet.
but cardan was too long, i think engine will sit close to the brake booster (now i have 5cm space)
unfortunately I had to weld the engine subframe in order to install the engine lower and my hood can close
i install starter from engine block
I use getrag 240, and this is why i must use custom elastic coupling
It seems like I'm not the one who decided to sell Air and put coils on E28 Btw, really nice project, it reminds me my adventure with air suspension and problems connected with it. I've been thinking about posting my 5 year project history in one thread so you can check it, but now I have to reach 5 posts first haha
I am also a big fan of bmw e28. And I managed to buy a limited, exclusive version of this car. I earned my money by playing at an online casino. it $5 min deposit online casino.
hi everyone!
i installed coolant pipes, radiator, thermostat and electrical vent
next step was power steering. At first i welded adapter to honda`s compressor pulley
Stock streering reducer was balk to engine block, and this is why i bought power streering from JDM E46
but when i finished with steering arms and droped car from hijacks, i realised that this is a epic fail
at first i had very little steering angle
at second power steering was at the ground
then i raised coilovers at stock height, but power steering was about 3cm from ground
anyway, i have a first ride!
now i need to weld engine pallet (to raise power steering) and exhaust, after it i simulate speed sensor to raise redzone (now its about 4k rmp), enable vtec and variable intake geometry
Awesome work man, and one of my favourite builds! love the oddball engine, but actually it's what the car needed in the first place i think, and it suits it very well.
Are you planning on changing the exhaust at any point to make the post of the v6 sound?
