so, this week I got a new fuel filter and damn the old one was dirty and way over due.
The car reacts way better at the first 1/6 of the pedal. I'm really glad I did this.

Next, had to get the same caliper twice, which was the cause of my brake fluid mentioned earlier.
The brakes feel good again now.

More snow plowwin:

another shot of the wheels :

wagon love from this fall :

Here is a quick video of a lap of autox I did this fall. Shit was awesome !

This spring me and my brother will make spacers with the specs of the audi hub and ch wheel so no need to use the stupid centering rings and flush fit all around, also gotta lower the rear of the car.

I designed a splitter with him also which is being laser cut right now, can't wait to see it!

sup SW, I've been really busy lately. The three next pictures resume why I'm working less on my car this winter
1. I was supposed to start university in accouting & management this fall but said f*** it, I'll spend my time doing what I really want to do ,and that is : welding . So now I'm at school learning this beautiful art. I've also bought a sweet 30.06 springfield , and a new air shock for my downhill bike (I plan on racing this summer).

I've done maintenance on the car , as usual, including :
- my hood release cable ( YES, AGAIN?!)
- tried to fix my ballast on one headlight, did'nt work, need a new one, **** electricity.
- I changed a coolant fitting my friend had broke helping me change my air filter, the day I first got the car which resulted in the car spraying hot coolant everywhere, and us ghetto fixing it by scavenging a similar part on my old jolf 8v.
- I retro fitted a b7 a4 valence, had to trim it a little.
- removed my old diffuser, will refinish it for fun and might retro fit it on my friends s70. I am really stocked because I presented the plans for my new diffuser (finished them yesterday) to one of my teacher and he allowed me to take material from the school, plasma cut it, bend it and weld it myself !!! I am supposed to start in 2 weeks, after my first exam.

- I still have no news about the guy who is supposed to cut my front splitter. well.
- next week I will start collecting body panels ( fender, doors, etc) and headlights to get the car ready for the wrap.

see ya!

soo no days off.

Bought this on a ski trip : IMG_6442
IMG_6446

b6 sedan doors , same color code, NO rust, working motors, etc. 160 $ really clean except the huge scratch the seller made while helping me put them in the trunk -.-.

IMG_6452

IMG_6481

and here are my old ones (while removing my s4 door blades) :O
IMG_6486IMG_6490IMG_6492

Pretty shocking, indeed. Water had infiltrate by the window frame and made its way out at the bottom of the door... tragic.

fitting my door cards / door blades / and rewrapping the trims : IMG_6479IMG_6484

Here is my hood release cable that failed twice last month. It has been covered and soaked in jb weld so I hope it'll stay in place now... ggraigadgIMG_6513

the fun started on the second day working on the doors .
After 8hr of school and 4hr of work, I thought it would be a good idea to instal my doors. Even a friend wanted to come and help. lol.
fullsizeoutput_1e1
full jeep mode.

at least its comfy to work on
IMG_6546

so, everything goes okay, we replug everything , align the doors , test the windows, lights, speakers and everything works! everything except...
IMG_6525
At least now I know that sedans have a different window trim. Quite logic after all.
At this point, it was 1:45 AM and I had school and work the next day also...
A quick ''fix'' on this and another chopchop and I call it a day. IMG_6528IMG_6529

I ordered a new fender by the way. Also the missing fog grill for the s4 bumper. 120 us dollaz for a little piece of plastic what a shame. Joys of owning an Audi.

Third day working on the doors

swapping the window frames :
First, removing the sedan ones,
IMG_6555
stripping my old door. Good thing I kept it.IMG_6557

Voilà!
IMG_6558
IMG_6560

The window trims are chrome but my bro gave me some wrap so I will cover them up.

IMG_6579

until next time.

did a test and painted the lower part of my shift know to match my brakes and light switch, and I like it.

what is this?
IMG_6653

just some oem necessities
IMG_6655

also made a lil key chain with an oe valve cap from the porsche wheel I rebuilt IMG_6621

but wait, there's more

last friday I parked my car at school, tried to lock it and...nothing. hmm. The lights in my door and my rear windows wouldn't work either . I grabbed my stuff and locked my glove box and walked to my class.

When I came back home I started the investigation IMG_6611

...aaaand it was just a blown fuse!

But the very same day, I was on the highway and received a nice rock in my windshield
IMG_6613

no bueno.

However, on a more positive note, I started the production of two interesting pieces at school

IMG_6759
IMG_6686
it is far from being done, but still, I drove home from school facing the sun, driving in the mountains , blasting Chuck Berry with a big smile in my face probably looking like a maniac or something.

Funny thing, I was practicing for my SMAW exam and some of my plans fell on the ground without me noticing. I went to pick more rods and with the fume coming from the welding I didn't smell the burning paper. I came back to my work station and there was water everywhere and just these two survived . I still don't know who sprayed the fire

Here is the second part I'm working on, I plan to complete it by may. IMG_6748IMG_6750

The start of my new rear diffuser

I will try to make the plans for side splitters and see what I can come up with.

see ya

Hello ,
managed to get a couple things done on the wagon. came back from school and found a nice surprise the other day :
IMG_6917

guess what it is?

I sourced some missing parts for the s4 bumper :

IMG_6885

and epoxied, then painted my left grill which was cracked :
IMG_6883

I used the same epoxy to put the inserts in the bumper for some splitter mounts and sealed it in black fullsizeoutput_497IMG_6891

time for a little hike : IMG_6829

received the u edge trim for my splitter, which I'll be modifying a bit in a week or two :
IMG_6963
in case you did'nt guess, the box I received contained my WRAP IMG_6937

couldn't wait and had to wrap my bumper even if I won't be wrapping the full car until a month or so.

It's my first time doing somehting like this, and let me tell you, it was quite a challenge. IMG_6939

heres the result :IMG_6961IMG_6959

It's not perfect but I'm ok with how it turned out ! I learned a lot doing this.

far from being done, but gave some time to the diffuser IMG_6754

Leaving you with a foggy view from my living room IMG_0342

sup fellas

this weekend I've been able to give some good love to the germanic wagon !

first, I don't roll with fender liners in the rear, and this fix was waaay overdue. Here in canada we use salt and rocks during winters on the roads, and you guessed it, it's pretty rough on cars.

so greasy and dirty
fullsizeoutput_1e6IMG_6998

*Funny thing I discovered when I removed had the feeling that my car wasn't rolling right and it was shaking a lot lately. I thought the problem was in the front but turns out my rear\driveside driveshaft bolt had undid it self completely on a positive note, a quick fix and now everything is perfect
IMG_6994
first, degrease and wash everything IMG_6990IMG_6999

so , with a sore back , I applied some rockguard \rubberized membrane
fullsizeoutput_1e4

Don't know if you noticed, but I also refreshed my brakes :

looks good man. it looks like you stuck the old bolt back in the axle. id keep an eye on that, those are stretch bolts. i had good luck with mine being used more than once but technically you arent supposed to!

here more action from this weekend.

Earlier I posted a picture of a crappy patching job on a rear 1/4 panel.
The chassis of this car sat outside for a year or two before the swap. Therefore, water infiltration and rust where apparent on a couple of spots.
It was more than time to fix that up !
