• Audi b6 wagon, daily \ track .

Greetings from Canada,

long time reader , first post on SW. I started this build 1 year a half ago, still far from being done.

First, I will show you what I did when I first got the wagon, until today.

I bought the Wagon with a 70% complete s4 B7 swap. (v8 4,2, 6speed manual trans, big brakes, cluster, recaro seats). The car was in mediocre shape, would start occasionally, mismatched panels, rust, a lot of unplugged things, loose direction \steering, missing parts, etc... but I paid a good price.

First, I did a big maintenance on the direction, hardwired the starter, changed the fluids, and way too much stuff for me to remember.

then , winter came, and I started to work on a rear diffuser as I started to gain interest in retro and newer DTM race cars. I also removed the resonator, and mostly had fun in the snow

I know its horribly filthy

My friend borrowed my floor jack and got a flat... *$(@&$%*(@&%(*@& oem jack. Bought brembo rotors and new pads after that
bought some rotiform ind-t in 19x10 sq, which I decided to sell shortly after, the specs were not the best for the use I intended , and I'm not really sure how they would have held up on the track. They sure were beautiful tho...

then I bought toyo proxes and bbs ch025 in 18'' BBS
new lug bolts

over due :

color coded the lowers (temporary)

started working on a front splitter and flattening the under of the car,

deleted my rear whipper using a 12 gauge shell, which fits perfectly,

bought an oem s4 front bumper and grill in good condition, and a sample of wrap I used to refinish my trims inside. I plan on buying hexis wrap (same color) and wrapping the whole car this spring

and now we're up to date with the build!

so this spring I will:
- wrap the car
- make a dump valve for the exhaust
- laser cut/install the splitter
- change some panels before the wrap
- get a tune
- install the new bumper / grill
- retrofit a b7 rear valence on the rear bumper
- make side splitters and little ones for the rear
- change the exhaust tips
- get a 034 motorsports solid rear swaybar
- change the center diff ratio so I got 80% of the torque to the rear wheels.

and thats it for phase 2.

here is the car this summer doing some awd stuff after a car event in Mont Tremblant at the circuit.

Love the CH. Used to have a set on my BMW E91 Touring. This makes me miss my B6 Avant.

thanks for the feedback, I like them too but might look for a second set or a new set of wheels for next summer...

No big updates for the moment, mainly maintenance stuff.

driver window and side mirrors stopped working, the same goes for the driver seat adjustments.
brake light started flashing too and got rear ended by a dumb kid.

I fixed the window and mirrors problem by inspecting the wires in the door jamb and rewelding some. The car needed just a little bit more of brake fluid so the light is gone.

now the tricky part is to fix the seat...it stopped working in a position that covers the access to the bolts that attach the seat to the car...and there is very little space with the seat bolted to work under so I'll try my best.

the car is currently at the bodyshop, luckily the damage is minor and I won't pay for it. I even managed to get my spoiler repainted /cleared for free so its all good

sorry long time no see, had a lot of maintenance to do, some unexpected stuff happening, other project and I don't have as much funds for the wagon because school stars in a week.

So, during the last month or so, I had some ''funny'' stuff happening to me :
(car starts to leak brake fluid and the light pops )
- proceed to park the car and try to pop the hood,
- the hood cable snaps,
- try to open the glovebox to take some pliers,

- Glove box door falls on the floor,
- don't have pliers,
- can't open the hood and add fluid.
- take a deep breath and think about nice things.

so, I fixed the cable and made a handle out of steel wire.

and I ordered a repair kit for the glovebox.

had some fun in the mountain roads and smashed my bumper twice :

temporary patching on the rear fenders. I will fix this stuff this spring:

fixed a door in the trunk :

detailed the wheels and stored them :

had more fun in the snow ( next to my brother's v70 R winter car):

Got the rear valence, bumper and spoiler painted :

Finished prepping the s4 bumper and the Cupra R lip (which was smashed in 3 piece by me ) :

and thats it for now... A lot to come this spring hopefully.

Here's a little teaser of some funky-warranty-voiding-stuff we are doing on my friends mk6 jetta :

until next time!
