Herro,
I guess it's time to make a build thread somewhere so I can keep track of my progress.
It all started when I got my first car, a 2008 Honda accord sedan - automatic. Getting into the scene was hard as I had no tools, no resources and no knowledge of anything. I progressed only as far as lowering springs and plastidip wheels

Then in 2014, my mom was moving back to my home town; it was my time to shine. I've always wanted a Manual car - either coupe or hatchback, didn't have big dreams for it, only wheels/coil/lip combo to you know... stance it.
At first, I was looking into the $5,000 range so pretty much 8th gen civic coupes, first gen mazda 3 hatch, rsx, celica. Then my mom offered to chip in by matching my budget, at this point now it was 8th gen civic Si's, 05+ rsx-s, 2nd gen Mazda 3(speed was a dream but too expensive), older wrx. The Vancouver car scene was huge so any sign of a good deal was snatched up pretty fast.
The 2 car's I was initially interested in - almost ending up buying. 2006 rsx-s had full bolt-on's on lowered springs, stock wheels, 180,000km/110,000miles. My brother convinced my mom to not let me buy it because he thought paying $10,000 for a car with 180,000km was stupid, she agreed, I was sad. The second car was a stock low milage 2010 Mazda 3 hatch GS 6speed for $11,000. This was the car that I almost bought, I really liked it and it had all the features I was looking for at a low price.
Then I had epiphany, I thought "FUCK THIS SHIT IM BUYING A SPORTS CAR". I decided to get a loan and spend a little extra to satisfy my soul. I was now in the market for $15,000 car range, big bump up from original budget. I went on craigslist and threw lowballs at every ad I saw until someone "considered" Btw I'm Asian
AND this is where it began; summer 2014, I picked up my White 2010 Genesis coupe 2.0T GT(this trim includes the luxury of premium's sunroof, Infinity sound system, sunroof and R-specs brembo brakes, HID headlamp, torsen LSD and black/red interior) I've only seen 2 other in this combo. I had no idea what the frick these were until the day I picked it up and was like WOWOWOW BREMBO BRAKES? WOWOWOW. Funny thing, the owner was a service advisor at a dealership and the way we made the deal was that he sold the car to the dealership so I can finance it through them... So basically I got a Certified Pre-own car(warranty offer declined by me) for less than all the other Genesis Coupes in the area.
I was a broke University student working 20hr's a week, how I pulled this off? I don't know, when I paid the downpayment I had less than $50 in my bank account. But nothing from 2014-2015 was really spectacular, ahem broke university student, it wasn't until 2016 when I finally broke free of the broke life and got my current job thats allowed me to do everything here.
