Instead of hub rings and longer lug bolts, why not covert it to studs - ie make it lug centric instead of hubcentric its easier to do..

That'll come over the winter. I haaaaaaate lug bolts as much as the next guy, but it's going to have to wait a little bit. For the time being, I'm enjoying the car as much as I'm able to.

Future plans include a (much needed) rear-end swap for an LSD, and tracking down the shimmy in my LF corner. I'm thinking it's a strut or strut mount bushing, as the sound/feel only happens on weight transfer to driver's front wheel. Feels like the wheel is about to fall off

Small update:

Took a trip this past weekend back to my hometown in western MA to see some friends and also to attend Staggered. This was my first Staggered since the move from CT, so I was very excited to attend. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans for us, but we made the best of it nonetheless.

Got my new wheels on, rears were a very tight fit but got them to work. I'll need to get 195/50s for all 4 corners for the wheels to fit with no issues at all. Rolled the rear quarters to accommodate the larger tire, too.



The fronts went on just fine, with only a small bit of fender contact. Had a pretty severe wobble from the front so I only had them on for the ride to and from the show.





And, as an added bonus, I stumbled across my old C230 coupe on my way out to Staggered. I had traded the car about 3 years back and it has made its rounds around New England. Anyway, here's a photo of the shitbox it has since become.



All said and done, I'm happy with how the wheels fit. #teammeat

So...this happened -



The car has been sitting pretty much since this happened. Haven't had a chance to get around to fixing it yet, but I think I'll take this opportunity to put it away and start stockpiling parts over winter. Planning a full suspension refresh, and finally taking care of that eye-sore of a hood.
