So, ya'll may remember my old W203 C-Klasse.

It's been about three years since I ended up getting rid of the car, and I haven't really owned a "fun" car since. Flashback to a month ago, in the middle of a brutal New England heatwave, my W210 Wagon shit the bed while visiting family in Massachusetts. So I towed the car to a friend's with his AAA, and started figuring out how the hell I was going to get back home to New Hampshire. A few phone calls later, a very nice young lady was kind enough to give myself and my dog a ride back to NH.
The next week, I did a thing.

Through a Facebook page (of all forsaken places) I came across this awkward, ass-lacking thing: a '97 BMW 318Ti, the bastard child of the e36 family. Boston Green, of course (love that dirty water). I caught a ride from a coworker out to the previous owner's house after work on a Friday with funds in hand. We made a deal, and after inspecting the car I found it was surprisingly straight and clean.
The owner of the coupe claimed it to be "rust free" (aside from the hood of course
). To my surprise, it actually was largely free of rust. We exchanged title and currency, I slapped plates on the car, and began my drive back to NH. The trip went about as smoothly as it could have, aside from the heinous drone the straight-pipe produces on the highway.

So that was the first thing to be taken care of. I'm 25, and over the stupid-loud exhaust phase of my life, so I dropped the car at a local exhaust shop to have some pipe bent and a muffler welded back in. $200-something dollars later, and the car is much more bearable to listen to now.

The car came with an extra set of wheels, with decent tires, so the Salad Shooters came off. I had to run mismatched wheels for a bit while I straightened out my tire situation.

Also, because I just couldn't pass up the deal, I came across a set of 15x7 Cragars that are pretty much exact replicas of Epsilon Southern Ways Mesh. I'll be tinkering with these things for the next few weeks while I wait for some parts.

I'll try my best to keep this thread updated to the best of my abilities, because I know you're all waiting with bated breath to see what happens next -________-
