  • The Nogaro Blue EK Civic Sedan D15Z

Hey S/W folk, greetings from Cape Town, South Africa!

    I hope all is well?

Figured I'd put together a build album of my second half's first car.

While I might be heavy into Racing (my B20 EF Sedan build album is on S/W as well), she happens to be the half that is heavy into Stance, thus this album will showcase progress made on the ErosMedia (my brand) Stance Build since it's purchase 27/06/2016.

I bought this car literally 6 days after purchasing my first EK Sedan - loved the car so much I had to purchase another for my significant other.

Upon purchase, the car was pretty much stock, and this didn't appeal to me. So the very next day I set off to spice up the look a bit by adding some rims. After that, the bug started biting. Started off with pretty much the basics: HID kit, Lowered Springs, Sunroof, added B series VTEC intertior, etc.

The car still sits super high in the sky, but I don't want to go too low as yet as I am not too happy with the quality of the ride as it is, thus I want to redo the entire suspension this coming month before deciding whether I should go static or bagged on this one.

The thing I like the most about this car is the colour - the car was resprayed literally a month before I took ownership, and it just so happened to be a good break from OEM with it's new colour - Nogaro Blue from the Audi S3.

Thanks Bro, they are all still a work in progress. Plans for the EF is to run a Y1 LSD gearbox and do a B20VTEC Frankenstein conversion.

Haven't made many changes besides change the plates and spray the rear plate holder black. Adds a nice JDM effect.

Keen for that Frankenstein conversion. What is the name of that blue?

You and me both Bro LOL. It's called Nogaro Blue Bro, still need to flush the front bumper to complete the look and modify here and there to make the car stand out a bit in a sea of Ballade's LOL.

Decided to change it up a bit. Fitted a set of Burnt Gold 15" 7J Volk Rays to add to that JDM factor. I am really loving the new look.

Now all she needs is some more lows.

Decided to do a little shoot at work to showcase her progress thus far. The Gold Volk Rays are really starting to grow on me:

Just curious, why don't you have the stickers on them? It would authenticate the wheels a lot more

Lovely call out there Bro. The rims were recently resprayed, so I haven't had the chance to fit the Volk stickers on yet. But last night I fitted my photography brand name stickers on the car and it sits nicely.

I am really starting to move away from the clean, OEM look for a more JDM look.

Just needs some coilovers, white tyre writing and a lip then she will be ready for track day.

Hey guys, haven't done much upgrades since the last update. About two weeks ago I decided to get some of the Honda guys together in my crew for a little shoot. Here's a few sniplets of The Nogaro Blue EK.

Upgrades are in the planning stage. I scrapped the old idea of added wide "stance" rims and the SiR lip as I will be going for a more functional approach.

                        Watch this space.

                          You lost me here.

I liked your original idea better, tbh. One functional racecar, one pretty stance car. Why did you change your mind?

Great call out Bro. Apologies if my post came across as confusing. Initially this was going to be a full on "stance" project, because the colour just screams "bag me on some J's" LOL.. But with how the car sits now, my direction has changed completely to a more functional approach, thus, the idea of stance has been scraped... Well, for now at least LOL.

It's only a little D15Z that's why track/race never came to mind, but I might swap out the motor for a B20V and S4C tranny if all goes well.

*Also, I ran into some license issues with the EF thus that has been put on hold until I can whip the previous owners head, and my thirst for racing is boiling over so I will have to make do with what I got LOL.
