I actually really like that blue. I really **** mint but that's much deaper, more of an "aqua blue" type thing.
But I also love yellow!
Enjoying the build so far, I cut up a rust free, california car 318is e30 to put a 5.0L in it so I understand being ***** for cutting stuff up.

Small update but still kind of exciting. Been keeping my eyes open for a old MA46/MA47 Supra rear end since I'd have to do something about mine eventually. Came to the conclusion that they're next to impossible to find and started thinking about other ways to beef it up until a friend suggested throwing a wanted add up on some local classifieds just for fun. Within a few hours had a reply from only an hour away from my friends place for a full rear end with brakes for $100. Score! Picking it up at the end of the month

I guess this is due for an update.
finally got the flares and wheels on!
First a comparison of the stock wheels lol
not looking too bad!
Before the cleaned the rear fender up and switched the silver bolts out for some nicer black ones
Going to lower it down a little more but should look much nicer once the bumpers/skirts go on

That teal or a mint color is personally one of my favorite colors on a car. You just don't see it done that much for some reason.

I'm just not a huge red fan, even though currently 2 of my 4 cars are red lol. Posted pictures of the car up on a local atlantic canada forum and I'm pretty much public enemy #1. There's only three 86s that I know of so cutting up a mint one is kind of blasphemous especially when some of the others are pretty rough lol.
In color news the friend who is doing all the body work and paint suggested this color
But then he's also color blind so maybe should get a second opinion haha. In all seriousness actually like it quite a bit, it's different for sure.

Well finally got some work done today, before I start let me say again how mint and rust free this Corolla is, after taking off the inner fenders up front still no hidden rust, everything looks like it came straight from the factory...so with that in mind on to the update!
Yep I'm now the most wanted guy on a few old-school toyota fourms I'm apart of. But because of the car being so clean didn't run into any problems at all, cut off stock wheel arche plus some, drilled holes, done! Well up front anyway, almost finished the passengers rear then moving to the drivers, takes a little more for them since you have to cut/shape the metal inner fenders to meet the new outer and weld them together to keep some strength in the car.
They look good upon first glance!
They're just rattle canned for now since I'll be bringing the car home to a friend to start body work soon, he's pretty amazing at it (worked at a couple body shops and considering opening his own) and is doing all the work for free, I just need to supply materials. Had to throw the flares on since I didn't have room in the car for the wheels lol.
Thinking of something around this colorthoughts?
And no its not getting painted white and black lol

I'd do dirty dirty things for an AE86.
Love the car, keep up the great work!

Love the 86 and the R, new exhaust sounds insane btw.
