Speaking from a ton of experience: don't make your running car a non-running one while you're prepping for the swap. Get at least 80-90% of your shit together because for that swap there is a lot going into it. Then pull the trigger on taking it apart. A running car that you can still drive while you're getting these parts ready is a lot more fun than one that is taking up space in the garage.
One thing that may be hard to find is the clutch pedal assembly.
Second thing, with the higher horsepower, you might want to at the least stitch weld your chassis.
