love it, new wheel look 100 times better. cant help but think that front lip doesnt jive with the rest of the car. i think i smaller one, would make the car look a lot cleaner.

Went out yesterday and shot a few photos of the corrado. I planned on taking more but I left this location and the starter solenoid throught suicide was a the best way out and the starter motor was spinning constantly as I was driving. Got the car home and got the battery disconnected once I figured the problem out. Luckly I have a warranty on the starter so I'll just pull it and have another one ordered.

Spent a little time over the weekend working the corrado.
My goal was to get the front down a bit more since the car had some reverse rake going on which I am not a fan of.
Started by removing the coilovers and see what could be removed and lowered. Took out two of smaller sized lock rings and since the cx racing coilovers are body adjustable I lower the bodies as low as they could go before hitting the cv boot.

As you can see Ithen put the lock ring against the body mount. Went to put a wheel and could tell something was hitting. The spring was hitting the barrel.
I tired to adjust the camber so the wheel could get away from the spring but then the wheels poked way to much. So I spun the lock ring up just a bit until the barrel cleared the the spring. The barrel and the lock ring have to be 2mm or less away from each other but as a friend once told me "if those move independent of each other then you have bigger issues".

Got both sides set the same and got the car back on the guy and went for a test drive. No rubbing when driving so it was good to go. I am looking a ways to each buy shorter and stiff springs for the front and rears, More so the front had more wheel to strut clearance. But I have also be debating buying new coilovers custom built by either Broadstatic or BC that would have shorter bodies and use smaller and stiffer Swift springs & be properly valved for the spring rates & size.

But all the work got me here. Fender just about to tuck tire bead before the fender was barely tucking the top of the tire.

Other than that just took it out and enjoyed it a bunch this weekend since it was nice out. Hopefully be able to do more of that this week as it seems like it is going to be nice out.

Im honestly not the biggest fan of the 3pc Modernlines since they are not as concaved as the 1pc versions plus the specs are a no go for the corrado sadly.

I'm pretty happy with my purchase...

I need to work on getting the front a bit lower. I'll have better pictures sometime this week when I get the camera out.

I was hoping to go 3pc with this move as I do miss having something multipiece but honestly nothing really caught my eye in the new or used market unless it was close to $3000 range and would still need some work for me to be happy. So went with something simple that I know I like.

    Wheels will be here today.
Sadly it's a long day for me for me so normal work plus 4 hours at the shop with a frame notch scheduled in for a customer today. So I'll be rushing home from the shop to put them on.

They are one of my favorite wheels and when a deal came up to have another set I just had to take it. Never mind that I have already owned a set before.

I agree. There are few guys that have really pulled off the 15" look on a corrado but in my case the wheels needed to be wider and more aggressive to really pull that look off. If the 9.5's would have worked I think it would have made more sense as to what I was going for.
But I think the Modernlines will really make the sit just right and make it look a bit more classy. They shipped out yesterday and should be here tomorrow.

The corrado made another roadtrip this past weekend to Cincy to visit some friends and to help my friend Jasen get his Mk3 moved to his new home.

but the trip also decided it wanted break my exhuast on the way back home. Found out yesterday since it sounded like my car had an exhuast leak when I got home. Car is so loud and sounds terrible currently. :banghead:

Also thought I would change things up on the car.
I found a set 16x9 Schmidt Modernlines with 195/40 Sdrives on them for a good price and jumped on them. I have never been fully sold on the F-zero2's that are currently on the car, I think it looks great but the sizing just seems off to me.
Lucky for me I have a spare damged 16x9 modernline laying around so I test fitted it to get and idea of the look.
