Nice work on the roll - will you be refitting the inner guard/trim?

thanks. yes, I installed it back but cut it a bit. The piece right above the rolled segment as it has no more place to be hidden and fixed

Today I performed preliminary front suspension install and firment adjustment before painting (to be sure everything is ok)

First of all I installed the shock without springs with "all down" setup to measure the max drop and rimgap. Here what I got:

The rimgap was 18mm. Installed springs and a bump stop of very min height

I got the rimgap of 26mm (1"). It is a good result but I would try to improve it at least to have 20mm. The problem is that all heigth adjustments are at the max low level (the shock is collapsed to the end), so I need to find a solution to low more. Maybe I will make the camber adapter more thin. Will see. Need to install left side of front suspension and to see how the situation will be when both sides will be ready.

Sterling work my friend. I'm the same as you at the moment - shocks are maxed out! I only need to go another 5-10mm and it hardly seems like all the effort but it makes such a difference to the overall look!

                Thanks!

Today I deleted plastic undercarriage cover that may be damaged while riding low

And installed second front suspension and wheel

And tried to drive a bit. It was a real shock for me
Collapsed shocks shot on the entire body and it was awful. Adding additional 5mm to shock work and than more 5mm fixed the problem on 2/3 I think. Shots still present but not so often. Maybe it will work for me, I need more time for additional testings.

Bad news that I have no more adjustments to low down, but I need at least 15mm...

I'm not surprised the shocks bottom out. The front shocks on E90 are already short, by adding the spacer on top and then cut the springs to go lower doesn't make it better. I think you will be better off with coilovers that are intended to go really low.

Other than that I can't wait to see the finished product.

Here is how I won additional 25mm drop on front.

                    -10mm on camber adapter:

and -15mm on shock mount, making placed it deeper:

It didn't let me touch the humps with arches (for ideal air fitment) but it is pretty enough for static ride:

Now, this additional drop, will let me set the riding rimgap of 20mm. Tomorrow I will try to set and to test it.

Good thinking taking that little bit off the shock mount/hub. Will obviously be weaker but I don't think you've gone too crazy with it.

Thank you! Yep, I think that it won't be too weak and will work as usual.

Ok, so today I installed all front suspension stuff and adjusted as planned. And finaly I received what I wanted. There are some rubs on bumper when turning, but it is the price of such riding rimgap
