been chomping away with the fox again lately. got the passenger side floor structure about id say 85-90% done, then the drivers side i started today. both inner rockers, just have to finish plating the bottoms of the rockers in 3/16" steel for maad lowz duh. cut the stock "frame rail" things off and made my own since those hang about 3" lower to the ground than the rockers. (body drop? just kidding haha. i think.)

decided i wasnt happy with my bay so i marked where it all has to be shaved or filled

and a little tuck inspiration hahha

hey guys, been quite a while now. have been helping alot of close friends with their projects since theres are a bit more towards completion than that of mine and healing up from some medical problems. anyway. got a little more done on the fox recently. pulled the dash again, found some saddening rot in a rear window that im not too sure on what to do, and filled just some of the many floor holes it has. hope the spring is starting off well for all of you. looking forward to some more progress once it warms up a touch more and im a bit more healed up.

I quite like the rally covers, if i was sticking to squares on my scirocco i would consider them, but E30 headlights is a different kettle of fish!
Yessir it is. I'm not sure how I feel on rounds. It's funny you mention it, I had a single round converted fox that I gave away to a close friend for free haha. I had bought the car with a girl I was dating at the time when she wanted to build it, then she flopped and bailed on that idea so I was gunna use it as a parts car. Haha. I'm glad it's gone. As for the car, I'm glad that's gone too hahaha I kid, I kid. She was great.

havent gotten to anymore work on the fox lately... been kinda busy and its been a touch chilly for my taste. although, i did correct a fender i had fucked up....

and found some "rally" stone guards. very rusted, but kinda goes a little with the car... not so sure i want to run them... not sure how i feel. seems a little period correct, authentic, not too common, but looks a bit try hard in my opinion. i dunno... lemme know what you think

although i love nick, the owner of the jetta, ever so dearly, as he is my bestfriend, i do not plan to camber the fox. the jetta, by all means, is NOT, however, ruined by the camber. nothing was modified to the chassis for that. ruined by the flares screwed to the body on the other hand.... hahhahha

the fox will remain with little to no camber. IF needed, ill camber it a touch to create a decent turn ability is all. im going for a decent ratio of form and function

I'll be making my own. I usually do appropriate patch panels, but they don't make them, so I'm going to cut out my inner rockers and pinch welds and run some angle iron, cross brace with some 3/16" strapping down the whole floor, then lay down some 3/32 sheet steel. On the passenger side I intend on widening the trans tunnel and rear portion towards the rear seat wall for a side dump exhaust. Pretty basic and simple. Since I'm not running the stock buckets I need to fab up seat mounts and move my shift box and shorten linkages and shit so that I can have a realistic seat position. With all that needing to be done, it seems to make sense to just make my own floor pans.
