put in some good time with the 1.6 block, and a good buddy of mine, who owed me a little money, offered to pay to have the head checked out, cleaned up, and is lapping my valves and doing my stem seals. i guess giving him my ex girlfriends old fox for free wasnt a bad deal? haha. also talked to a good buddy of mine about how he cleaned up his 1.6 so well for his "smoking hare," and he helped me out a ton. super great guy, coulndt be more thankful to have met him. ill post up some pictures of his motor, aka, my goals haha

thanks for looking/following!

thanks a ton man, if you check my next update youll see how far ive gotten into it haha. i dont intend on stopping this one.. i love this shit box far too muchOriginally posted by Dutch View PostThat kinda sucks, but hey! If it rebuilds fine and cheap/free then its good! I remember my old caddy with it's 1.6d 4 speed engine and box. Get it up to 93mph and the heat will actually get that much and melt the exhaust! Strong engines, but the previous owner had lied to me about it at the time and said the timing belt was recently changed.... That was the end of that engine... Luckily i know a bit more about working on cars since then and check the timing belts regardless of what im told now!
KEEP THIS THING GOING BECAUSE IT'S SO AWESOME AND AWESOME

getting a bit of work done. care came, as mentioned, with no wiring, so what better time to go CE2 than now? got a free 1991 jetta auto trans bay harness, 1990 ce2 fuse block, and a 1991 steering column harness. so here goes some shit. pulled an all nighter doing 21 pages of homework style notes haha. got my bay harnesses, power harnesses, and head light harnesses all trimmed and labeled up. heres to wiring t(-_-t)

yeah they are a weird bastard child i feel hahah. they are an offset of the B2 (correct, dasher) chassis as they are a "bx" platform. and they came in a truck version in brasil as a saveiro hahaOriginally posted by Dutch View PostAlways loved these. gutted they arent in the UK.... Its always reminded me (from the side) of a mk1 caddy as a wagon, and from the back, a b2 passat (Dasher in US?)
