whats up guys I'm back again with some small updates. I got my vibrant -4an feed line and my candy purple turbonetics raptor bov I got used for a good deal. some pictures

I also ordered the fitting for my oil pan and a 1/8 npt tee fitting for the oil feed and oil pressure sensor to block. still waiting for my newer manifold and may be upgrading my wastegate. its just a cheap emusa but the quality is pretty sturdy...but I don't know if it be alright for the amount of boost id be running but I might just get another for peace of mind. I really would like to start bay work in the next couple of weeks and yes I want to do a different color engine bay I want to do it battleship grey but input is more than welcome

What's up sw. So I got a bit more stuff done on the car and some parts ordered.

First off I pulled the engine by myself for the 2nd time but without the use of a hoist.(thanks cheap hf hoist for bending lol) anyhow, I pulled the engine from underneath the car.

    Out:

I also mocked up the fmic to see it was going to fit and the charge piping. It looks like ill need to use a hole saw and go through the frame rail to get it to fit properly. Oh whale😊

I've ordered a turbonetics bov that has the same flange configuration as a greddy type rs bov. I ordered a 3 ft -4an as braided line from vibrant for my oil feed line. And I ordered a different non eBay cast manifold. I got it mainly because how it positions the wastegate.

I'm going to start working more on it as I figure out what I need lol. And I sold my koni yellows haha

Ha, I still have that same ebay exhaust on my car. It doesn't fit worth a shit but I love the sound of it. Can't wait to see the new engine and turbo go in.

I've been m.i.a. for a minute but its been because I've been on a lot of other forums trying to figure other things about everything out lol. so basically I've vested about $1.3k into this so far which isn't too bad imo. so where I left off...

I got the fitting for my holset h1c. it has metric threads which are m16x1.5 and since this is a journal bearing turbo I figured i'd pair it with a -4an braided line and tee it off the oil pressure sensor. I need a inline filter for it though.

holsets generally need a good oil drain system usually a larger port on the flange and atleast a -12an line is generally what seems to be recommended even though I think you can get away with -10an. so i'll probably have to do a custom pieced together drain setup.

things still left to get for the turbo oiling are:
    -4an braided line(vibrant makes one for $30)
-4an to 1/8 npt oil feed tee
-drain flange probably -12an if I can source one
    -oil return line(-12an)
-drill and tap stock oil pan for oil return bung

and that should be it as far as the oiling of the turbo goes.

next I purchased some forged rods and stronger cast pistons and yes they may be a little cheaper but I've read about them beforehand and they seem like there gonna be fine given the power level I want to make can be done on stock internals.

but, the rods are scat forged h-beams with arp2000 rod bolts and std 81mm Nippon racing cast pistons 9.2:1 stock cpr. really only doing it to be on the safer side and the engine probably needed a rebuild anyway so figured i'd go with something a little bit better.

    here they are:

after getting the wrist pin clips installed and comparing it to a stock ls rod

    sorry for potato quality pictures.

I also got a cheap fmic kit for my car off fleabay...its 27x7x2.5" but whatever i'm sure itll be okay. I guess i'll see if I get heat soak or anything of that nature.

then I bought something that I very much needed I think. I bought a 9cm^2 undivided hotside housing so I can get a quicker spooling turbo. its has an a/r of .63 instead of the 1. something the larger housing had. some more pictures

18 on left 9 on right and something I noticed too was that the 9 has a 4 bolt downpipe configuration instead of the stock 3" v-band the 18 has

apart swapping the housings right quick

    on.

now whats left to get on the list
    -750cc injectors
    -new valvestem seals
    -cj's harness
    -hondata s300
    -pcv system routing+catch can
    -3" exhaust and downpipe
    -wastegate dump tube
    -arp head studs
    -all my machine work
    -clutch+flywheel
    -new synchros for ls trans
    -greddy bov
    -manual boost controller
-wideband 02 and gauge+other rlated gauges
    -tuning and more tuning
slowly but surely its coming along guys. i'm sorry theres not too much "stance" going on
atm, i'm just trying to do a little bit more than your bags or coils+wheels+wrap or paint builds so its gonna be a long one but I hope you guys stick around for it.

I bought some stuff I got like 9 or ten packages coming lol...But here's a mockup of the engine with manifold. I clocked the turbo and painted my intake metallic grey and stenciled slowest teg in the top haha kinda ugly but it'll work

Put my edelbrock oil cap back on

    Teh gud stuff

Thanks man. And I know haha my passenger side is cracked and I just super glued it haha. I have a spare one but the glare guard in it is different from the one on my car and is really foggy in comparison. But I'll get another one eventually. But thanks man

So what's up guys quick update. I went down to my girlfriend's house over the weekend(2 hours away from me) and worked on the car for a little bit. Basically I brought my tool box and had no idea what I was going to do with my car. Basically, I ended up pulling the cylinder head in like 30 minutes even though I've never pulled one with the rest of the engine in the car.

I also ended up pulling the entire engine harness without hacking it all up.

    Onto my poor quality pictures...

    Harness all pulled up

    After removing it

    Before

    After

And now some pictures of my car as it's sits in all its steelie wheels glory

I'm gonna be ordering the turbo drain outlet flange probably sometime this week along with an intercooler and I'm on the hunt for a good bov. I don't know if I'll buy a used one or new one. I also will be ordering a cj's wiring harness in the next coming weeks and along with figuring out the tuning g software I'm goi g to run. This car was literally pieced together by the po. The cars a 93(obd1) had a b18a1 head with arp head studs and a low comp b20b block. The distributor was an obd0 one from a earlier Integra because when I compared it to my old 92 Integra distributor which was obd1 it was different. Fyi, do t buy hacked up cars it will save you many headaches lol
