Actually, the fittipaldis were heavier. I like the poke. Real wheels are stupid on a daily. Paying 350 for XXR's beats paying 1500 for "real wheels".

Nah I'm just gonna leave them black. I plan on scraping them a lot lol

          Tweaked the rear fitment somewhat.
The wheels are 15x8, not 15x8.25 like the guy who I traded said.
Here are some more pictures from when I was test fitting them

Also got a BYS lip from eBay after my First Moulding one broke. Dont worry, I'm gonna be messing with the fitment of the lip.
          some from today.

the lip was riding too high on the bumper, so I got some long screws and used PVC piping as big spacers

              The final product:

Started college last wednesday, so I may post a little less than I would like to.

Dude you've come a long way from where you started, props to ya. I'm most definitely keeping an eye on this build thread. Also have you thought about going any lower? Like getting new full bodied suspension?

Hey man thanks, that means a lot bro.
Yeah I want to go lower, but it still my daily lol. I'm gonna get a camber kit for the rear and dial it in so I can tuck the rear tires and go lower in the rear. Front fenders need to be pulled to get some more clearance. That's the plan as of now

Gonna try and get some phone books and pull the rear fenders some. fender roller didnt work very well. If anything else, baseball bat.

                        Introducing my new money pit.
                        His name is Timothy.
Picked him up earlier today for $200.
Had a blown Head Gasket, was fixed with blue devil by previous owner. Works, so I'll leave it for now.

                        Needs:
                        Hood Hinges
                        Misc. Interior Plastics
                        New Passenger fender
                        Corner Lights (ordered)
                        One headlight bulb
                        Thermostat (?)

Other than that, this car drives like a Dream. Cable trans, manual steering, and I love it.
Can't go wrong for $200. More updates soon.

He'll have his own build thread on here.
                        Stay tuned, folks.

Well, a lot has happened since I last updated.
Turns out that two of the Fittipaldis had small bends, so the guy wanted to trade back for the XXR's. So I got the fittis back. Rode on those for a while.

Then, picked up these 14" steelies with 80% tires for $80.
Took the fittipaldi's off, gonna sell them. Put these on until I get new wheels.

                              Then, these came in
                              195/45/15 Toyo Proxes TR1
All four for $230 delivered to my door.

So, my new setup will be close to what it was with the XXR's, but tweaked a bit. Want to get new wheels, get them mounted and balanced, and get an alignment before The Auto Combine 2016 on April 2nd.
We'll see how this goes. Stay tuned guys

Found these BMW Bottlecaps today for a great deal. All 4 with useable tires for $75. Going to sell the steelies.

and after a quick clean and a patched hole in one of the tires I got them on the car.

Better than steelies. makes a big difference in the look of the car.
                                New setup coming soon

Also picked up these two 195/50/15 tires with 50% tread for $10 each.

                                Stay tuned, folks.
