Appreciate it dude. Yeah, still going strong. Got alot of little things to sort out over the winter, but hoping to pay the car off soon and then do some bigger things with it.
I've seen pics of this car all over the place (mostly on mx5Nutz). I'm generally not a fan of the 2.5s but this one looks really tidy. Good effort mate. It's pretty inspirational.
I need to drop mine another few mm's
-My Stance GR+ coilovers finally bit it. I have been riding super-slammed on full stiff for over 20k now, and for those of you who know the DMV/beltway area (Northern VA, DC, MD) will know that we don't exactly have the nicest roads around here. Add to that that I also drive this car great distances to out of state shows on a regular basis..........they have just seen some serious abuse. I initially thought about sending them back to Stance and having them re-valved and ordering some new Swift springs to rebuild them with........but that's alot of downtime and shipping costs, so I have instead decided to replace them with some Fortune Auto coilovers with 12k F/10k R springs. They will valve them to spec with the stiffer spring rates, not to mention that Fortune Auto is also VA based which means if I ever have any issues or need them re-built I can just make a day trip out of it.
-Next up will be mounting my new wheels. They were originally going to be powdercoated a translucent gold color, but apparently that powder is extremely hard to lay down so they didn't turn out too great. I'm currently in the process of picking a new powder to have my friend spray them with. The wheels are on hold though until I get my new coilovers because I don't want the lips of my wheels smashing into my fenders as a result of my mushy blown coilovers.
-After that, I will be having all my little dings/imperfections fixed to prep the car to be wrapped. I'm planning on wrapping a matte orange color as not to take away from the general look of the car, while still mixing it up and giving it a new style.
-Beyond that, who knows. I was thinking of getting some seats (maybe Status Ring GT's?) but the problem with me and seats is that Miata's have tiny interiors, and i'm a bit chubby (36/37 inch waist) so finding a seat that both fits me and the car is proving to be rather difficult. The wider seat's side bolsters hit the door. The skinnier seats fit, but I don't fit in them (not comfortably at least). Doh! >_<
I wish I had a giant orange Pokemon........like Charmander or something. But the Pikachu was given to me for free by a friend so I rock what I got.......lol.
