So I got my 1963 vw bug. Original ragtop. I bought it a couple months back.

Lots of rust all around but it looks and runs great. Imo.

Here’s a few pics. I haven’t done much to it yet. I’m starting to though!

First thing I did was paint the center white since I was bored and wanted something easy to do to change the look.




The front is on air struts. It goes up pretty high, but I prefer to drive it aired out

I added eye lids and painted the headlight housings black also. I need to take pics of that.
also swapped out the orange turn signals for clear. those will be shaved off some day though.


Rear wheels are 15x9 -63 offset with 175/55 nexens. dont mind the ugly rust







I got alittle creative with the interior (ill post good pics asap) added artificial grass. Stripped the seats to the springs. Kinda painted them. I added a cushion to the driver seat to make it alittle more comforting.

I recently decided to go extra wide on the rear, and ake some custom fenders. i have an idea in my head, nut lets see if i can pull it off

so i bought basset wheels (again no good pics -___-)
the specs are 15"x13" -76 offset + the adapters which are 25mm so it adds up to -101 offset tires are 265/50 hankooks.





so much bigger.

i just got the tire mounted today and by the time i got home it was dark. so no pics until tomorrow. it looks great so far imo and its exactly what i wanted. the hard part is going to be the fenders. theyll make it or break it, stay tuned! project #rocketbuggy.
