Here's 1 pic. It's a start. I need to cut higher on the next set of fenders. This was a practice and it came out better than I expected. Love it.

        nice update

so i started by cutting the fender. tjen shaping it to barely clear the tire.

ive never seen this done on a bug before so i wasnt sure how it would work. but my plan had worked. i felt so accomplished

this is just a practice run, im going to buy new fenders and do this nicer and make the cuts higher/shape them alittle different. but all in all this is just about the look i was going for

          Love this direction, great start
You might think about using a strip of heavier gauge steel flat stock, like 1/2" wide, and attach it low in the front and back of the inner fender arch. Get an arch you like and build your sheetmetal to that for some structure. Anything thinner than 1/16th" would prolly work. Keep going!

Yea that's the plan. Hopefully by next weekend I can start on that.

How do you anticipate doing the fronts? It's gonna look like a straight hot rod with skinnies in the front and 13"s in the ass
                            Great neck

Gotta ask, Why didn't you just split the fender there the body mounts are and put in a 3"-4" strip of sheet metal? might have been easier.
