The Achilles tires aren't bad but they scrub off super fast so you might be in for a lot of tire changes if you're drifting. That being said the price is right for tires that are going to be introduced back into the atmosphere.

Cheers to all of you who are showing love, pretty damn awesome to see other people digging this beast as much as I do. Keep watching, it might not be the fastest build but I promise to shred tires on camera for everyone
Thank you truly for the input, this is exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for. If you don't mind me asking, what's your experience specifically with these tires?Originally posted by DeltaAlpha9 View PostThe Achilles tires aren't bad but they scrub off super fast so you might be in for a lot of tire changes if you're drifting. I think the everlasts are fantastic bang for the buck, and so far this machine has done great for me, although I have more time on the machine at my Union shop than my personal one Lolz. I'm picking up a #9 torch assy asap, the #26 is way to bulky for my taste.Originally posted by dubs&boost View Posthow do you like the ever last? I've read great things on them!
for the manifold would you want to build from the merge collector to the head flange? just my thought. i absolutely love the use of the 4g63 in this configuration
In my case for this manifold, the merge collector needs to be a certain configuration since its twin scroll and has the opposing-polygon shape, so to get the runners as close as possible to being even, I worked from the head out. Basically just have to fab the collector to fit everything else
Thanks for the loveOriginally posted by crazylegs View PostI love this truck!
I might be messaging you here in the next few months on your front coilover set up lol. i just got done with my rear set up.
Message me any time, you may find the forthcoming news quite interesting considering the CA location under your avatar
So I promised weld pics, and there are some, but they aren't fantastically exciting. Mostly dialing in my process for the best results using the 321 stainless.

This is my first 3 test runs on this material, the middle is #1 with minor cleaning and too much heat. Left side is run #2 with more cleaning and a little less heat. Right is #3 where I've run a fusion root pass, which turned out pretty damn good since I cleaned everything thoroughly and really watched my heat input. Below you can see on the right run where I ran a second pass with filler to finish it off. None of the welds have to be wonderful stainless rainbows since this manifold will be getting titanium heat wrapped anyways, the important part is that they're solid and strong. That's why I'm using 321 alloy to begin with

I'm happy to see that I'm headed in the right direction with all of my adjustments. One more small set of changes and I'm confident that I'll be set up for success. Recently my free time has been a little fleeting.....

......considering it's all going into this

Long story very short, my big news is that my wife and I are moving back to San Francisco, we'll be there in mid-late March. Bummer that the truck will go into storage until we buy a house, but NEVER FEAR! I'm remaining optimistic on that front, and super fucking excited to be going back. I'm currently converting the bus into a full tiny house, I may throw a few pics of that up just for shits along the way. Until next time folks.....

Just enthusiastic street driving when I had them on my Integra. They lasted about 25,000kms before I swapped them out due to cupping on the rear wheels. I don't think the cupping was necessarily solely the tires fault as it could have been the alignment. They were decent in the rain but turned to hockey pucks when it got cold enough out. They were a fairly compliant ride but the sidewalls didn't feel squishy in the corners which was nice on a 205/45/R16. For the most part they would take the car where I pointed the wheel except for one morning when I over cooked a corner and had some understeer but that's to be expect in a front wheel drive car with factory sway bars. Basically my concensous is they're not a bad tire for the price but they do have their short comings. Still better than the Falken Ziex ZE950 by far though in my eyes. If you're looking for something more specific about them let me know and I'll try to help out.Originally posted by cruuz View PostThank you truly for the input, this is exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for.
