I was able to get some more work done this past weekend, . The rear diff is about ready to come down, it just needs to be unbolted. The rear suspension is out and the BC's are ready to go in, just waiting on sway bar endlinks to reassemble it all. The motor is also completely assembled and ready to go in.

I'm hoping this upcoming weekend, which is a 3-day weekend, I will be able to drop the motor in. If I'm lucky, maybe she can be a running vehicle once again, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too much. It is a Cressida, after all.

I can only hope so! I'm just incredibly grateful that I was given a chassis that I've always been a fan of, there's a lot of back story to it but I never, ever thought this car would have ended up in my hands. There's been plenty of times where it would have saved me a lot of time, money and stress to send her packing, but now that everything is starting to come together, I'm glad that I stuck with this project.

Being that my garage is about an hour from where I attend school and live at, as well as the fact that my friend housing the project works a full-time job as a mechanic that requires him being there late on many nights, progress has certainly slowed down a bit in the past few weeks. I'm waiting on a few gaskets from a local imported/tuner car specialty shop, and then the motor should be going into the car. At this point, the parts necessary to reassemble the car are practically all there, although I'm mentally preparing myself for the fact that I most likely could run into issues along the assembly process.



Here's how she sits now. The 1jz is waiting to go in, just a matter of getting the time together to do so. I've also got my ARE's mounted up to some sweet tires that my buddy Andrew Stirrett hooked me up with. Anyone who knows Andrew knows that he is one of the nicest and most helpful fellas on the east coast, he's a great guy and I'm glad to call him a friend. Also, I have had my diff welded and it's ready to go in, along with the BC coilovers after they receive some fabrication work.


I also want to thank all of these guys, these are some of my best friends. This night was particularly cool, I came all the way up from the city to work on the car and I was pleased to have a few friends come up from the city to join me in hanging out and drinking a few beers. This car wouldn't be a possibility without the support I've received from them.

I'm off to class now, I'm actually making myself late typing this post .

I'm hoping to get some more work done this weekend as well. Probably going to take care of getting the rear suspension in, as well as fixing some rust in the bay to prepare it for the motor being dropped in. The weekend after that, the Pope will be in my city of Philadelphia, and I also get that Friday off from school. This means I'm taking a train out of there on Thursday night, to avoid the pandemonium and hopefully enjoy a 4-day weekend of working on my car.

- Xcessive Manufacturing Roll Center Adjusters
- Horn button and hub for Nardi classic steering wheel (already have wheel)
- MX83 Radiator
- Spal electric cooling fans + Hella wiring harness

This pretty much completes everything I need, now it's time for assembly!
