Getting closer. Need some intercooler pipes welded up, but the intercooler and radiator are in place, as well as the MAF, throttle body fusebox and BOV. Power steering fluid reservoir is mounted up, just need to get the correct lines to get everything finished up.

Whew, school has kept me busy with this yet again. The last time I got an opportunity to work on this, I was able to get the throttle body all situated. I had started to mock up the intercooler, but eventually decided to wait. This past weekend, some cutting was done and the intercooler is now mostly in place. I have 4 final exams over the next two days, but then I am going to get back at it, really hoping to tie the last few things I need together.

Got a little more progress made.

Ordered a throttle body spacer in order to make the DOHC KA24DE throttle body work.
For what it's worth, JZX110 motors are drive-by-wire and you have to adapt a throttle cable setup to the x7 chassis. The folks who made my harness created wires which allowed the TPS to be spliced directly into the harness. The parts I used were as follows
    - Xcessive Manufacturing Throttle Body adapter. This allows the KA throttle body to be bolted onto the 1jz.
    - Throttle body spacer - the XM adapter had some small clearance issues, but this solved them and allowed everything to go into place
    - 2jz throttle cable

also got the driveshaft installed. hoping to get the intercooler all set this weekend and tackle some other small stuff around the car. the wiring issue still persists, and I wish I was better at this type of stuff. I understand human error occurs, but it is disappointing because I don't have a clue what I'm doing when it comes to wiring, and I'm anxious with messing it up.

this upcoming weekend is my birthday and I was really hoping to have this running, but being able to make progress with some free time is nice. I really would love to have this done sooner rather than later, this is an awesome car but hooooooooolllyyyyy shit this chassis sucks to work with.

Keep your head up, I have a daughter and a gf and I still have my Celi which I havent touched in over half a year until recently. But still staying motivated to get it where I want one day eventually as well. Like Der E30 said small things add up.
what kind of celica? someday if I have money I plan on getting an ra61 and fixing it up for my father. when I was very young, he had an ra61 that he would take me out in, but it got sideswiped and totaled in a hit-and-run by a drunk driver. I hope your project ends up working out for you!

hoping that's the case! still cracking away at it, ended up making some moves this weekend which provided some good motivation. I have about a year left. I need to sit down with my advisors this week and figure out when I'm graduating, and what can be done to maybe speed that process up a bit too.

absolutely! I appreciate it. we've sat down and seriously rectified things a good bit, and I'm pretty happy about that. progress is being made once again now that there is a bit better understanding and communication. you should definitely come out sometime soon though, you're right in reading, correct?
