Well I let the old girl go for something with two turbos and six cylinders last picture taken before she was shipped off to Massachusetts.
I'll own another mk2 someday but it will be a small bumper Jetta coupe.

First photo after all the exterior changes that took place over winter the new bumper with no fogs and the new grill really clean up the front end.
Static forever ❤️

Thank you!
Finished the "show" polish on the wheels tonight.

Unfortunately, the car will be off the road for a bit I have a bad stub axle. I was debating switching to disc brakes in the rear but we shall see. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Did those round "hex"caps for the rm's came with the wheels or did you ordered them somewhere?
i need those in my life and can't find them anywhere overhere.. And by the way, which tyresize are you running upfront? i'm still not sure which specs i'll use for my 7,5" & 8". i'm thinking of 185/45 but i'm not really sold on the amount of stretch they give on a 7.5.
keep the updates coming
Thanks buddy! Also, thanks for the follow on IG.
As far as the caps check-
Torquepartz.com the RS conical caps should fit.
Or
Euroimagetuning.com they have flat conical caps but they are pricey.
Otherwise if you keep your eye on wheel part classifieds they will pop up now and again!
I'll let you know first if I ever want to sell mine.
As far as tire size I am running NEXEN 175/50/15 on my 8s up front and the same on my 8.5s in the rear it is really meaty tall sidewall, I had some rubbing issues in the beginning and still have some to work out.
With your 7.5 and 8 I would personally stretch a 165/45 on them especially on the MK1. If not at least do a 165/45 up front and the 185/45 in the rear. The 185/45 on a 7.5 would have almost no stretch.
Best of luck!

Took on a quick afternoon project of polishing the outside lips of the wheels. Turned out nicely.
I used a power drill, feather wheel, green polishing compound followed by blue magic metal polish. The actual difference in person is amazing.

Thanks guys!
I was finally able to get the car aligned this weekend. Also, after the rear shims were installed I thought new wheel bearings on both sides would be a good idea as well, despite changing them last spring.
I went to my buddies shop. He agreed to have me in over the weekend which was awesome, because they don't have weekend hours. They had a plethora of bad ass stuff in.
Baja Blast Super Beetle lol, they tossed a new engine in with an upgraded cam.

Big turbo shaved bay B6 A4, there were working out tuning kinks and sorting some hard lines.

VRT Corrado, everything on this motor build was done by them including all the fabrication for cooling and fuel.

Normal little TD caddy truck, experiencing fuel injection problems.

My buddy was aligning his garage built Lincoln drift car- big cams, big heads, 5 speed swapped, motor swapper, dual rear brake calipers, hydraulic e-brake, fully custom suspension and completely gutted. The thing is a riot. Lights up the 19s with ease.

Then finally my little N/A VW.

I also swapped my nasty old bumper with fog lights for the owners fog less bumper plus cash and fitted that up.

RIP

Fresh bearings

Nice picture before the alignment, it was a great day for a drive.
