So, just to keep you guys updated a bit

Mainly nothing much new has happened so far but yesterday I bought some stuff

First I ordered some brake stuff, new discs and pads all around along with new calipers for the rear.

And then I also bought air suspension. Should have it in about two weeks or so.

He is in denial stage, this is when your daily becomes your project and you buy a new daily, then history repeats. indefinitely.

Ehhhh, I still don't consider this a build, haha. It's after all just a stock A8 with a drop, soon to be bags, and wheels, nothing crazy. It's just my daily after all, haha.

I had been on the verge of selling it due to the high insurance rates, but I've since found a way more affordable insurance and so have decided to keep it for the next few years at least and so decided to splurge a bit haha.

I presume you told the insurers you're going to bag it meaning you got cheaper insurance? In the UK it's often the case that if you declare modifications you'll get a lower quote as they expect you to take good care of the car making you a smaller risk on the road etc

Nope, modifications don't have to be declared to the insurance here in Germany. I just found a different insurance company and altered the terms of the contract slightly, so I'll be essentially saving around 500€ per year.

                          Well,

                          this took a drastic turn.

I had a small accident with the car, fixed it, then the thermostat broke down and I just got so fed up when I found out that the timing belt has to come off to fix that simple failure... that I decided to sell the Audi. The car was sooooo annoying with how complex it was, all the work on it took 3 times as long as on any other car.

I sold the Audi in late december and bought this here a day before Christmas as my new daily:

                          A 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Quadcab 5.7 Hemi 4x4.

Perfect choice for tiny German roads ahahaha

Obviously won't be stanced or anything, maybe a 2 inch lift and some Cragar Soft 8s on 35s once I'm done with the other car...

Why not slam it like the Thai's do. it with their D-Maxes and Silverados?

They made me search for pickups after my vacation haha
