So for a frame notch, cut a little more than I'll need and then weld up that area on the edges?

Look man, I think I **** you. But in all seriousness you are 16!!! youve got quite a few more years of busted knuckles and wishing you signed up for triple A stuck on the side of the road somewhere before you can give anyone advice on here.IG: @nanner_tickleson

I can't tell if your not very smart, trolling or just ignorant by the countless comments you've left in here.

Guess I'll find out when it happens. I know it sounds ignorant but really like I've said it's a minuscule cut that dosnt go into the actual frame rail. If It breaks I guess you can I told you so and I will feel dumb.Originally posted by Aitch View PostThese numerous people probably haven't all crashed their cars either, so there's no telling how compromised the structure has become in extreme situations. Sure it hasn't collapsed during normal driving, but perhaps the frame is becoming more weakened on these cars with each bump. Perhaps the frame won't perform as designed in a crash. That's the problem with removing material and not reinforcing it properly afterwards, you have no real idea of how strong it remains until the day it fails.
The legend of Colin Chapman was that he removed material until something broke under racing stresses, then added that last little bit back in. Essentially this is the same thing, except without the expectation that something could break suddenly.

Why are you in this thread/forum posting if you really don't have anything worth contributing other than your teenage ignorance bruhOriginally posted by Drop It Like Its Hot View PostWell I'm not quite sure wtf a VW has to do with anything...but I can see how I have come off as 'ignorant'. Thanks man. Yeah i know what you mean. I'm looking into keeping my stockies for snow tires, getting a wider set of wheels with a really aggressive offset for like street and show use etc, and having a modestly aggressive set of wheels for track day. Eventually.Originally posted by MommysLittleMonster View PostJesus fucking Christ, it's like watching a bunch of mouthbreathing middleschoolers tell a high schooler how to succeed.
Your wagon looks great, especially with the tint. A modest drop and some OE STi wheels would make the car pop as a whole. IF you plan on actually enjoying your car for racing or track days, look into what other people are using. Excessively wide wheels don't necessarily mean you're better off, especially if you chose lower offsets.
Keep up what you're doing OP, don't listen to the uninformed idiots who do stupid shit for scene points.
Thanks man. Definitely.
COILOVER UPDATE
So turns out the company i ordered my ISC Coilovers from told me that ISC hasn't been cooperative lately so they have not been providing inventory, and my options are to get a refund, or wait 2 to 4 weeks to have them delivered straight from ISC. Well i'm not a patient person
So.....
I'm gonna get a refund and as soon as that goes through, i'm gonna pony up the extra cash for BC BR Extreme Lows.
More waiting
