hey guys sorry about the lack of progress. Ive just had no motivation to get into the garage and finish up the brakes and control arms. Control arms are bolted up, rotors on, just need to finish up with the front pads, and its onto the rear. once I stop procrastinating. should be some updates by the end of the day with the car back on the ground. thats the goal atleast

Ive been slow getting things done while waiting on an alignment, but today, JCL Automotive was finally able to align my car. I highly recommend anyone needing a low car alignment, near Eastern PA go to them. Friendly people, as well as a knowledgeable and willing staff. They have a ground level rack, as well as the new hunter sensors which clamp to the tire, so it is possible to align cars with tuck and tight fitment. They also specialize in BMWs, and the cost for a 4 wheel alignment was only 100 dollars which Is not bad in my opinion.

Also, I got new rear tires mounted yesterday, so tomorrow I will be putting the style 89s back on in the rear in the morning and should have some pics tomorrow.

Here is a picture of me and a friend from Cult Classic. Also static.

If your front could come down just a hair but I have no idea what your pan clearance situation is.

The oil pan isnt terrible, trans pan is worse, but i still dont consider it an issue. I wish I would have lowered it before the alignment, but I was hesitant because I do hit the fender and I really dont want to completely screw one up. plus its so dailyable at the height its at on Broadways and I really like that, as it is my only car and I do have a 3 hour commute to school that has some decently bad bridge joints and sections of road.

Thanks man. The whole plan for the car was to run 19s, so I can maintain ground clearance and tuck wheel, and Im super happy with the outcome.

got the rear wheels on with fresh rubber this morning, and took a quick picture. Should be getting better pictures soon. Rear camber is at -7 degrees with the Thayer Motorsport control arms and are not even maxed out yet. Awesome product, and would recommend doing business with them. Great customer service as well as fast shipping.

hey guys, no real updates, but I have some more pictures for you. One a friend took at ///Mpact on Saturday, which really shows the camber, all with help to Thayer Motorsport. Great guys, and an awesome product for the e39 and e38 chassis as well as oem parts sales. I cant recommend them enough.

been slow updating, maily because there are no real updates. Yesterday I finally fixed the common problem of the broken trunk spring, as well as an oil change with mobil one. I also replaced the cabin air filters with bosch carbon activated filters, and got myself a victor reinz valve cover gasket, continental belts, and a meyle idler pulley. A friend of mine will be doing the install as soon as he gets time in the shop. but for now, heres some pictures.

First real update here in a little while. I got the valve cover gasket replaced Monday as well as the drive belts and the pulley, and also the spark plugs being replaced again. For a 165k mile motor underneath the valve was pretty clean with no real sludge or buildup.

I also have been trying to get as many pictures as I can stockpiled so I have some ammo for when I return to school later in the month and I wont be taking as many pictures. But heres one a buddy took when we went out shooting the other day.
