Well the seats are draining the battery in this car so I had to jump it to drive it to the guys house who is parting out another e36. It's the same guy we bought it from and I could tell he was disappointed that I changed the mirrors and it's awkward buying parts from him now because he knows it's for that car.



What better way to jump an e36 than with another e36

So today I changed out the rain tray and windshield wipers. I already did it on the black one and ***** every minute of it on that one too. The left windshield wiper came off without a problem but the right one took 30 minutes of penetrating oil and wiggling it around. I chose to do this when my new neighbors were moving in and so they got to see me looking like I was humping my car for 20 minutes when I was trying to rock the wiper back and forth. I make the best first impressions.

I suck at before pictures. But I went full drift car and bust out the zip ties because my diffuser was hanging down a bit and now it sits perfect and you can't even see the zip tie unless you lay under the car



I also swapped the radio with the one from my jetta. It doesn't match the amber lights which will probably drive me crazy, but it looks good in there when it is turned off. Here's a noisy picture for you

Jokes apart, car's looking great, I always liked these hardtops e36. However, I'm feeling the same as you, I couldn't stand the color of that head unit..

Today I went full ricer and installed the cold air intake and silicone hose that I got with the car

Houston we have a problem. The top won't go the rest of the way up or down, it's just stuck. I've pulled the release lever and the deck lid is still stuck closed. So now the car is stuck, undriveable, because the top won't move at all



and my hands got pretty beat up from spinning that allen wrench 1,000 times to make the top get almost all the way down because the front motor is fucked. But the lowest I got it was six inches off.

Yesterday I put on my SAI hose that I got for $.85 at the junkyard. Pictures are super dark. It was like 10pm. fight me.






And today I got the top situation sort of fixed with the help of the guy that sold me the car, but it still stops about six inches from fully latching, which sucks and has me stumped. But at least it's not stuck. I like it like 10,000,000 more with the top down and with the soft top up too, it just seems more natural. I need to get a soft top that isn't torn up so I can actually go without the hard top all summer

Today I finally took out the e46 m3 seats and put my vaders in. The passenger seat had a crack in the back, so I took the back from an extra seat I had, painted it black, and replaced the one on the vader. It looks really nice on there now.











And totally unrelated, I finally got a desk in my room and set up my laptop and my old monitor and I set up as a dual screen and hooked up my xbox so now I never have to leave my room
