        Test fitting wheels

So my friend was so kind as to allow me to test fit his wheels.

        18x9.5 +27 Enkei

they fit perfectly in front, but poked out nearly an inch in the rear.
too small for 275mm race tires.
I will most likely go staggard to cut down on the cost. or go full retard and get 18x11 all around with fender flares. Does anyone know of a flare that fits well on the q45?

basically these current enkei rpf1 wheels im running are going to be for sale soon.

I told you I'd buy your rpf1's. And it looks like you could do a real aggressive roll and pull for the rear. And as for flares I bet you can get a set for a s30 to fit with a little manipulation

Thank you guys! I'm thinking about going with fender flares. And its going in for paint, any ideas or thoughts?
Brandon, you have first dibs on my wheels if you want, but there is a big scratch on one of the fronts.

Have Ethan vinyl wrap the whole thing in some eye popping color so you grab a lot of attention. And I don't care about a scratch

Well Grey actually looks really good on Q's, just my 2 cents but I think grey with red vinyls and or red rims will look real bad ass and grab a lot of attention as well. Maybe ill play around with Photoshop later and see what I can do.

This shade of blue is nice too, but I like being the only blue Q in San Diego lol

Thanks for the input buddy! I like that idea, but I also like a sleek shiny black to start things off. lets see what other ideas come out of the woodworks.

Hey Zero Kool... What is your instagram?

Do you know anything about that Purple Q45?

Sorry for the hiatus, I just got back from a 2 day weekend of SCCA Rallycross Nationals. I took podium in my Subaru WRX. ;-p

Photographer from Super Street Magazine was there shooting! maybe I'll be in the next magazine ???

My Podium Trophy and some photobombers behind me!

Now it's time to get back on the q45 build.

Lets upgrade the rear brakes to Z32/r32 calipers/rotors with hawk hp plus pads.

Z32 stainless rear brake hoses were used... needed to bend the mount on the caliper to get clearance.

stock setup = Good enough, but not much aftermarket support.

time for aluminum twin piston calipers and vented rotors...

Backing plate too big, need to trim a little for clearance.

Rear hose bracket has clearance issues, so I simply bent it out of the way.

                              Now it is happy.

Next I am going to build custom front air ducting for the front brakes, planning to weld on a 2.5" pipe to the backing plate and run a hose to force cooling air over the rotors.

                              Then Install the CoolShims.

Doing some test fitting of 18x11 rear and 18x9.5 front Staggered cosmis wheels with some wide racing tires to match. These were test rig wheels and stretched tires. I am going to run 275-285 or 315mm wide in the rear and 245-255mm front, 200 race tires, per class rules.
