1972 Tvr Vixen (LS6 Pro-Touring Build)

What do you guys think, too modern or just right? I am reworking the front end of the TVR for a more functional and aggressive look while still trying to keep a blend of Classic and Modern that makes sense, I have already added the clear flush mounted turn signal to get rid of the trailer like lights mounted in the grill, so is this still classic and modern at the same time. The side marker light near the headlight is also disappearing, so do ignore that mounting relief, because it is going to be smoothed out..

Side note, these lights are hand made true Hid Projector and not the cheap knock off's on eBay, so the 650 dollar budget cost would be a part of the decision on the build, so do you think the difference justifies the cost for the styling factor?

Pareidolia can cause people to interpret random images, or patterns of light and shadow, as faces.

Just a little bit closer to rough in and the overall new front opening and nose shape down, and then the front clip is off to Corbett Tucker for all that nasty fiberglass grinding and final shaping to get it smoothed out and perfectly symmetrical. Glad it will be him doing the grinding instead of me, because the ground fibers and dust is the absolute worst kind of work in my opinion, and that is why it is great to have a quality body/paint guy that loves his work.

Not sure what if anything is going to be done with some sort of split bar or mesh filler as of yet, and I am entertaining the possibility of some retro round European race/driving lights that might look good as a filler also, but I think it should all fill in very well by the time the aluminum radiator and oil cooler is in place.

Guys, please don't say Cobra! Lol. It has been a struggle to make the TVR front end more aggressive and functional, and working with the previous upper and lower openings seperately wasn't flowing right, so I was left no real choice other than to make one large center opening that is often associated to the Cobra even though many other cars have had similar race inspired styling.
I had stole some lines and curves elsewhere on the body to have the opening make sense, and I actually didn't do an elongated oval that is curved forward also, so it has the flat center from left to right and the straightened curve on the sides as other parts of the body does, so I hope that this rough in will mimic other subtle features of the body. There is still a lot of structure and refining to do in order to make it permanent, and I still have to mirror it on the other side, but this is the best I was able to come up with on such an odd shaped car from the factory.

I have contacted the mods about the posting and asked them to either make this about the build or pull the build thread off the site.. I know it isn't up to the moderators to get in the middle or to clean this up, and up until now it has been about the build and build alone, so I asked them to make the choice to either remove the post not about the technical side of the build or delete the whole thing if they wish to.. This build thread was really to keep the customer updated and also show what it took to build the car so that people can go back and look once the television and magazine coverage is out.

But on a side note, there has been no court, plea, or conviction, and we are still in preliminary conference instead of court to get this mess sorted out, and I have been cooperating with everything every step of the way because I don't have anything to hide.. I have shared basically every detail I could in the other discussion noted, and I did not leave that discussion until I was banned for posting details that I was being called out on for not posting.. LOL

Volvoholic- I have read some of it and YES, it's you're right to excercise your freedom to speak on this, ABSOLUTELY! My point is, what are you asking for from him-from US-right now?

And this isn't to demean what you're doing It's just that it's reminding me of Occupy Wall Street where there's a lot of protests and no demands.

Do you want the mods to close this? Do you want the rest of us to protest? Possibly you want us to be aware of current events regarding him and that's it.

GEEZ...enough weeping...someone on here has already posted the links to what is going on...he rolled through another car site like a wrecking ball...please go and read them...

people are simply exercising their FREEDOM to post what has been going on with HIS business...he's clearing doing the same thing online and running more smokescreen scams to garner more CASH from unsuspecting people...it's a "paper" crime that typically prosecutor's ignore until the $$ mark is high enough...

initially, it appeared the AUSA's office wasn't interested in prosecuting him for a "few" victims, as it wasn't in the GOV's fiduciary interest to do so...it takes a boot in their ass to get them moving anyway...it costs the GOV money to hold him accountable and he knows it...he's gambling and hoping they're not interested in the long run...people have a right to post here or anywhere else in order to derail his scams...

Thank you, and that has been my only want with all of this, and this thread has been only about the build itself with no mention of any product or products, because it is really only being done for the owner of this car and for whoever is interested in the build itself..

I honestly do appreciate your detailed explanation, and I do get it and was in the conversation until I got banned for calling people out. For instance, I had a gentleman that was extorting me for 10k over his 2600 dollar refund, or he and his friends were going to make my internet life hell. Once he dropped that, he received his refund and still went out there claiming he wasn't taken care of, and I supplied those details and email correspondence to the moderators, but they left it standing.. Is that ok? He still sends me emails laughing at what he had done, but once I started sharing those details to defend myself after a long time of keep my mouth shut and taking my lumps for this mishap, I was banned when I posted details of it and another that the mod's were full aware of and supporting.

I appreciate also that you are well versed enough to know that people have chimed in and said they visited and saw what was going on and it didn't seem out of place, and that they felt it was legit. But if you are well versed in the discussion also, you should also know that people participating in the discussion said there was never any product and denied that anyone had it? Demanding that I supply links to their online builds so that they can see, but what you may not realize is that these same people knew those builds were there and commented on those very threads? It was a game for most of them, and in this game of speculation, outlandish claims, and damn right lies, and they had all the discussion other than the people involved discussion rate of .006 percent?

I have not had anything on the market in some time, so I am not sure why you think that I am pandering parts on this thread? I didn't even mention the fact I had any products or this build was producing future products (Which it isn't). This build thread is honestly for the customers build record and has nothing really to do with my promotions of anything, so that is where I think it is disrespectful to the guy that his happy with his build, and I am sorry if that offends your sensibilities, but please tell me where in this build thread I have promoted anything related?

Just understand that everything is being addressed as I said it would, and their are satisfied customers building cars now with product, and MVP has even sold additional developed product to back order customers you are discussing, so just sit back and see how it all turns out. As I have said I appreciate that you are informed on the discussion on hand, I would also appreciate if you also noted the ratio of involved and not involved in that discussion, along with all the run away speculation that comes from too many people talking with no facts or details due to never having any dealings with me..

I'm angry that you came in showing your impressive fab work and ended up draining thousands from members of a community that I hold in high regard as a whole.

I'm angry that there has been sufficient discussion for me to believe that you have done it to others outside of my community as well.

I'm angry that the only people who seem to have gotten through to you from our community are the people who literally showed up at your doorstep.

I'm angry that there are people who are in various places all over the world whom you have still either apparently delivered product or refunds to. People who have been waiting YEARS and who have had to apparently chase you all over the internet to various forums and social media with their stories just to get your attention.

I'm angry that you seem to be so goddamn proud of your Amazon and have no issue posting pictures and videos of it all over the internet while getting a distinct feeling that it was funded by people who trusted you.

It seems to me like your only interest isn't making everybody whole, it's doing damage control so you can continue to spend other peoples' hard earned money when they can't afford to chase you down with a lawyer and get what is rightfully theirs.

Even if, let's say, you aren't actually malicious. A few people have said they've met you and attested to you not seeming like a bad person. Okay, fine. Maybe this was an honest mistake. Maybe you got in over your head. Apparently people have, at some point, talked to your neighbors who could actually attest to there being inventory in your shop. Inventory which, by the lowest number I can find, still took you over a year to get shipped out after receiving payment. And yet, despite it being pretty clear that you seem unable to run an actual business in any sort of timely manner (or for some, still, at all), you apparently continue to try and offer goods up for sale.

Oh, and you spoke of a few people apparently being made whole and their voices being ignored. How about the people who you outright ignored? How about the people who you fleeced and they didn't speak up?

And you know what? I don't need to know all the facts and both sides of the story when it comes to the embezzlement charges. You know what those say to me? They're six big, glaring red flags. It's far too coincidental that the man who seemed to have all of these fraudulent dealings in various automotive communities is also suspect of fraudulent dealings in other aspects of his life as well. So I don't need to know the entire story (nor do I want your classic run-around explanations) in order for me to wish that those charges stick.

I may not know your side of the story. But with the overwhelming amount I've heard from the other side, both in direct testimonials from members and the alleged charges you're facing, I would be hard pressed to see this in any other light.
