Guys, I'm thinking about going to manual gearbox with this car. Do someone know if using parts from e38 or e39 v8 4.4 would work ? My engine is a 4.4 from 1996.Last edited by sam.; 02-02-2016, 09:36 AM.

I would think e34 parts would be the ones that'd work. If not you'd most likely need to rob a manual e31 of it's trans and pedals. Cross referencing part numbers on realoem.com will give you the answers you need=)

There's a couple threads on it over in the E31 section of bimmerforums.
Basically, you need a G420 with M62 flywheel.
Pedals are e34.
Driveshaft is either custom or euro bits.
Wiring might be a bit trickier with an M62. I know the M60 is super easy.
