And now the car looks like this again
and like this too
Took off the breytons to paint the faces. I realized by mounting back the stock wheels that I wasn't at the lowest until now because of the rear wheels resting on the inner part of the fenders because of offsets being too high. So good now I'm gonna be able to lower it even more
Tried to move the car aired out but bolts on the exhaust touch the ground actually
So I cut them
also washed the car
btw, I think it's low

Hey guys, I want to make a custom exhaust for this little V8 but I'm confused on something. I'm gonna use two Magnaflow rear mufflers and delete the one after the cats. Most of the custom ones I see use an X pipe but I don't know if I must do it this way or if it can be done with just 2 pipes (one for the left and one for the right side)
Do you guys know the difference between the two techniques? should the gas communique at some point after the cats?
Here are 2 pics to show what I'm talking about:
with an X-pipe
without X-pipe

Was actually just researching that for one of my projects and this is the best thing I found that could help on the X-Pipe vs No Crossover.
The reason for the H or X pipe is to increase the effectiveness of scavenging. Every time a cylinder fires and the exhaust exits the combustion chamber, there is a pulse of gas flowing through the exhaust system. Every thing you can do to help the pulse of gas exit will increase performance. The gas will flow better if it can maintain a high velocity and have smooth bends. A really neat trick to help the gas out is to leverage the low pressure (not really a vacuum but close) just after one of the other cylinders has fired to “scavenge” the exhaust out of the cylinder. If you can get very effective scavenging and depending on the cam your running, you can “pull” the fresh air/fuel mixture into the cylinder.

Wheels
Putting appart the Breytons to paint the faces
removing the crappy join
I turned 30 and an awesome friend came with 2 lips for my Breytons as a presentthey are 3.5" wide. So I'm gonna use the 3" I have on the front and those for the rear. It will be a reversed mount so the width of the Wheels will stay the same but lower offsets
Here they are, just what I needed for the car
New rear tires, 265/35. Ordered 225/40 for the front
I then cleaned lips and barrels. Faces are at the paint shop, they gonna be satin Silver grey 354.
Before/after. I'll repolish them again
Barrels are done too. I'll paint them in mat black
Lips waiting to be assembled as soon as the faces are painted
