Looks like you're parked next to my old C5.

While I wait to get my hands on a welder I decided to attempt to fix the rear diving board.
Pretty easy to remove, its just 4 bolts hold that hold the shock tubes into the chassis and 4 bolts on each side to remove the rubber trim jawn. Plan is to drill holes into the shocks to empty the fluid and that should shorten the shocks and pull the bumper in once re-installed.
Success! Pushed it in farther then I expected. Def not perfect by any means but it should hold me over for awhile until I can source impossible to find euro bumpers.
Just need to trim the side pieces up to fit properly...
Til next time

Little update. My craftsman roller box and tool box came in. Original sticker price was about $400, bought it for $200 during the cyber monday sales! Keeping my tools organized is a must for me.
Also this battery relocation kit i ordered off summit racing arrived. Now im starting to turn my attention to the trunk while I wait to get access to a welder for the engine bay. Plan right now is to do a tongue and groove wood trunk floor and have the battery box mounted toward the front-middle section between the wheels. Oh and i'm just going to pretend the rust isn't there, maybe it will go away on its ownFrankly just don't have the time, money, or skills to take on that shitstorm.
Cardboard box that the tool box was in came in handy.
Trimmed up
This will serve as a nice template when I cut up the wood. Hopefully I can make that happen next weekend.

Been awhile since i have updated this. I have made a some progress on the car but more then anything I have started hoarding lots of parts over the past few months.
Where the battery will sit.
I did end up priming the engine bay..however it showed a lot of imperfections and honestly I'm just not happy with how it turned out so I will be stripping it down again and doing it right this time.
I pulled the front suspension out!
This is why you don't heat springs ffs..
Picked up this 320is sport steering wheel for 10$, its in great shape just needs to be cleaned up!
Bought these AME Shallen Lx 2 piece welded wheels (15x8 +25 offset if i remember..), apperently theres only like 2-3 other sets in these specs in America which is pretty cool. Tires are too tall though I think I will go with Toyo T1r 195/45R15's sometime in the future. Also they need spacers because they do not clear the tie rods in the front.
ECS Tuning 20mm spacers
I managed to pick up a set of Euro bumpers from the Netherlands on Ebay. I got into a bidding war with one other person online but managed to outbid him at the very last second! I don't want to talk about how much I paid for thembut I think it will be worth it because the US spec bumpers are just so dreadful and ruin the look of these cars. I also got a euro 323i subframe for the M20 engine I picked up
The boxes are full of spare interior panels, switches, lights, relays, etc. I should be able to have a really clean interior when its all finished!
M20B25 engine that I mentioned earlierGot to put my 'new' chevy pickup truck to good use!
Engine head was rebuilt 20k miles ago and has an aftermarket cam which is pretty cool. Original M10 engine in the background.
The guy i purchased the engine from also included some brand new Ireland Engineering shorty headers

I pulled the old smelly carpet out and discovered how bad the rust was on the driver side floor pan. Thankfully I did find a website that has replacement pans at a reasonable price and the rest of the floor is in great shape so I basically just have to deal with this and the trunk as far as rust repair goes.
