I bought a standard E83 X3, I've done a few bits to it but it's never going to be as low as the 7 was.

Yeah, mine caught on the covers for the rollers when the emissions where checked,
So had to get the brake efficiency checked with the decelerometer. I've only got about 5cm to the front jacking block lol.

nope no such rules here, had my car tested and that's only 6cm or so from the ground and scraped getting into the test centre haha, getting onto the brake rollers is a different story though...Originally posted by Kris View Postwait a second?
you can drive that low to a MOT station there?
here in belgium you must be 9cm of the ground min... and if you want to get your car passing on lowering springs they have to me 'goca' attested...

Thanks for the info, I've heard good things about Swift springs.Originally posted by stillsteezy View PostWord. Yeah I'm a little out of the blue but I've been lurking haha. Love your e38. I have a pre facelife. But yeah that's rough, you kind of have to specially ask for extreme lows and that means waiting in line for BC to actually answer lol. This is an aside but from previous experience I can tell you if you do want the front down more your struts will be able to handle up to an 11k spring ( and feel good still). and go Swift springs. just for future reference

I'm a bit annoyed about it all really, I had to basically purchase new shorter dampers all round to get it as low as it is now. Springs are 9kg and 6kg.

It's a shame I can't get the front lower, but it catches loads already.
