I haven't updated this thread for a while so here's a big one:
Lip on, front fenders flat rolled, rear rubbing problem solved (using a hammer) and almost an inch lower in the front and half an inch in the back. Many thanks go to my buddy with the silver wagon for helping out.
Some pics to show off how purty she looks
Then the night before we leave for sowo at midnight, I hit an unpaved patch of road at 40mph and completely destroyed the lip and poppped out half of my bumper. I thought the lip could just be screwed back in but I had to drive another 10 miles with it dragging on the ground, got home and saw it looking like this and just ripped it off and trashed it.
Fast forward 7 hours:
Packed all the way up to the ceiling. I moved to Florida right after Sowo and since Sowo was on the way down, some friends and I turned it into a nice long weekend trip. (definitely need to stay longer next year)
Ready to head out on our 9 hour journey!
Fast forward to the end of the Tail of the Dragon:
Found some photo spots on the windy roads in the forest, the area was beautiful and the roads were fun. I got pulled over and ticketed on the Tail of the Dragon for having a license plate frame covering up my state, and for crossing the yellow line (sorry officer, just trying not to rub on the front fenders).
Took off all the tape on the front to find this.... I've never seen painters tape rip paint off a plastic piece before, so now I'll be looking a lil ugly until I can repaint them.
Found a sweet roller of me on killboy.com on the Tail of the Dragon!
Another awesome roller on the way to Sowo shot by a friend
Last but not least:
Finally settled in down in Florida and swapped my tail lights to the 04-05 ones.
I'd love to meet any of you guys if anyone is down here around the Tampa/St. Pete/Sarasota area!
Keep it up Ethan! Car is coming along great.
I had no idea you were at sowo. Never saw the wagon.
Thanks, I was looking out for you! I think I only saw yours once over the whole weekend. I cruised through town a couple times but kept it parked out of town most of the time
Couple of instagram pics. Very slowly coming along with this car. I have a brand new turboback exhaust waiting to go on and I'm getting a tune soon. I still have to paint my grille pieces and side skirt strakes and some rear spats, and put my lip on. Maybe I'll even get a new setup since everyone has these wheels now whether they're reps or not *sigh*
I'll be going to h2oi this year! Hope to see some of you guys and maybe even meet up with some of you!
Love that it is a wagon, not a lot of Subaru wagons in my area, just junker WRX's that think they are Evo's.
Shitty about the tape taking off your paint, when I used to build horse trailers we would wrap the fronts of them with a few layers saran wrap and just ran a little tape down the edge to hold it. We would ship them all over the west coast and south without issues. You can also use contact paper(sticky shelf liner) it comes in clear and a TON of amazing patterns

Thanks! And yeah that sucks, I just finished repainting them and they look alright. But that's a good idea! I may try that on my drive up to h2oi, thanks for the advice
Not too much progress made since the last update, just hit 100k miles a week or two ago. Ordered some ChargeSpeed style sideskirt extensions and rear bumper valences. I only have the skirt extensions on so far, and I had to bend them quite a bit to get them to fit right since they're made for the STi skirt.
That's all for now, the rear valences would require quite a bit of cutting so hopefully I'll handle that this weekend.
I'm really hoping to have the car on air with new wheels by next May in time for Sowo.... Maybe
