So last August i accidentally bought this e36.. accidentally cause i wasn't looking for a car at the moment.. but a friend of mine offered me his beemer very cheap and i just had to buy it.
He didn't have any rims and tires to give with the car so i had to use the ones i bought about a month before.. also accidentally
That time i didn't have any car that had bmw's bolt pattern but so what.. i liked the rims so i took them.. also from a friend
So about the car.. when i went to get it.. i didn't know anything about it.. i was expecting a wreck but what i got was quite amazing. Put a rim on it
and i was pleased with it already..
That was the best looks it had.. at the moment it looks quite crap with winter rims and i also managed to crash it.. so the nose is not in best shape.. but that will be sorted out in few weeks.
The looks will stay the same.. i mean yeah it's getting repainted but i like the original looks.
Engine is m40b18 which means it has 1.8 and 83kw. First i replaced the camshaft with one from m43 engine.. needed some work and custom parts but it works and runs smoothly. Then i turboed it.. then it kinda blew up and now i built new engine for it.
Now this is the most interesting part.. i didn't plan to build it like that but i managed to talk myself into spending money and time.. so the result is completely rebuilt m40 engine. It has nothing new inside except hydrolifters for valves and most of seal.
Oil is 10w60 castrol which is meant for BMW M-models

And for this very moment it runs on DTA programmable ecu, with turbo.
It needs tuning but i'm happy that it runs afterall

boosted the 4cyl thats awesome..not too many people do that on the e36's nice work
But i'm gonna solve it soon i hope.. need to find some harder springs.
M60B30 for now and gearbox getrag 260 from m30 engine.
