  • my '87 mx73 cressida!i!i

Got this thing in a trade a while back. I've wanted one for several years, so when someone offered me a factory 5spd cressida with everything but the digi-dash, I had to have it! Keep in mind reading this I have less than $1000 into this car, including the car itself.

Looked like this when I got it.

Then I scored some wheels for it from a friend for $100! 16x8 +10 ARE mesh. Needed work, but what doesn't for $100.

Then with a set of sustech springs (for a celica-supra with 2 coils cut out) and a set of shorter struts, I got to this after a few days of owning it. I couldn't rock the 4x4 height :P.

I got a wood wheel for free from a friend that was broken. Fixed that (I don't pay for anything btw).

Put in purple plush seats out of a mx32 cressida.

    Painted the wheels silver.

Then I patina'd the hood and trunk. 50% of everyone hates it. I don't care. This is how the car currently sits, I took these pics on sunday .

Plans? I've got most of the parts for air-ride already. Need valves and a switch box. Then this thing will be on air. Most of the complaints I get out of this thing are about wheel fitment, but I don't necessarily want this thing flush. I need to be able to tuck these wheels so I can lay unibody

Not 100% with you on the hood and trunk, but I don't **** it either.

    I love everything else, though!

Intentional rust looks horrible. The rest of the car looks great though!

Thanks guys. I'm getting mixed (about 50/50) opinions on the rust. A little explaination. The paint is not as good as it looks in the pics, and the hood, roof and trunk had clear coat peal before. So I did the roof and pillars in a black with silver flake, and stripped the hood and trunk. Planning on a repaint later, with paint matched hood and trunk (leaving the two tone roof and pillars though), but I am keeping these as alternates.

Hmm, smoked my tails on friday and I don't like it at all, lol. Looks like I've got alot of sanding to do this weekend :P. Anybody know of any chemicals that don't fuck up the plastic, but'll stip nightshades off?

Soaking it in a bucket of Pine Sol w should take it off and not damage the plastic.
