Things needing to be done:
-wiring
-exhaust(all new)
-finishing plumbing
-making a bashbar/bumper support
-cutting and welding D2's to spindles(pretty much done)
-por15 or powder coat rear subframe and put together
-clean the diff
-rebuild axles
-prep and paint engine bay
-240sx rack and pinion
-relocate battery
-rear charging posts in license plate trim
Finally the stock subframe modded for a 240sx rack in going in. Don't mind the surface rust, I will wire wheel off. Traded a 86 celica for this thing haha.
Thanks man! These were made from 83-87. The first widebody was made in 86. All the race widebody versions were actually narrowbody chassis with widebody quarters and fenders affixed. Also the narrowbody weren't intercooled, mine was swapped in. Also mine had gone from roasting in Las Vegas sun, to restored in 2007(full rear quarter replaced) to parts car which was then put back together guy couldn't get it to run sold it to my friend and turns out it was a unhooked fuel pump to me.
Not the craziest update but I got a 2jz timing tensioner bracket, turns out the 1jz one is different. Got it modified to work on the 1jz. Also got my OEM Timing belt from japan. Also ordered a coolant purge tank, oil filter relocation, and some lines.
I found New Old Stock fenders online. Bought them because I found someone to paint my entire car and engine bay. Gonna go with Ooh La La Rouge Mica, toyota color for a toyota power plant.
