No experience with this and gonna cost me way to much money I think. I'm looking at getting adapters made but so far they're all crazy expensive

I'm also thinking about widening the current steel wheels and powdercoating them white...

That's the idea! Looks like I don't have to worry about depreciation of the original wheels. Lot of money for a set of widened steelies!

I can have them widened and powdercoated for about €200. Seems like thats the way to go.
