Hondas are fun, my only thing I'm not a big fan of is the stickers on the wrap, rest I can handle. Looks like a fun one to just play with. Can't wait to see what else you decide to do on it.

Because, to say it bluntly, all the work you're doing looks like it's done by a coked up 10 year old.

Don't get me wrong. Not trying to be mean or anything. But the stuff you're doing looks mostly just like a mix-up of going to HomeDepot, buying the cheapest shit you can find and trying to throw it on the car and it ends up looking like you stopped work in the middle of doing it, because all the work so far looks half assed and not like you've put in any real effort so far, all the while you have 25 other projects waiting. To be concrete, your fenders look like complete ass. You have 5 sets of shit wheels when you could have 1 set of incredibly baller wheels if you sold all these shit wheels. Instead of investing in stuff that would actually make sense, you go and slap silly nonsense shit on your car (hood bra, roof rack, silly wood wrap with stickers to cover up winrkels). I could carry on in this fashion. Once again, not trying to be mean, just stating how it looks from what you're posting.

Believe me, I of all people am someone who gets building something on a very tight budget. The key word here is 'effort'. If you don't know something, learn. If you've never done it before, try it somewhere else than on your car, preferably with someone who's done it before to watch over your shoulder. If you don't have the money for something, save up or look for cheaper alternatives that can be made to look / work just as good with some elbow grease.

But most of all, before you do anything, get a plan together and try to carry it out in a somewhat logical fashion.

Once again, not trying to be mean. I personally think it's always a great idea when someone wants to do something to their cars because they enjoy it, but so far, your work seems not very thought out and kind of clueless. Get your shit together, with some effort those Civics can look really badass. Yours is still saveable. Get rid of the wrap or re-do it properly (personally, I'd vote to re-do it, this time on the whole car because I can envision that looking pretty cool), loose the hoodbra and roof rack (if you actually USE it often I don't object to keeping it), fix the shape of your front fenders (try to hammer them back into something resembling a fender shape, smaller bumps can be fixed with filler), and then you'll be on the right track for a start.

      Just some friendly advice.

geez it sucks cause both arguments in this situation have validity haha. do what you man because i'm all for that or you can take friendly advice that may not sound a hundred percent nice, but ultimately if you apply what this guy (who probably knows what it's like budgeting) is saying, i think you just might be surprised at what you might be able to accomplish.
on that note, don't stop what your doing dawg because i like this.

Does that vinyl just have no stretch in it at all? I've wrapped Porsche 996 and New Beetle bumpers and never had to do patching like that, and they're a damn sight more curvy than an EG bumper. Are you floating the vinyl with fluid, or trying to put it on dry?

It's driving me a little nuts that the grain on the vinyl is all going different directions, but whatever.

Finals are done so as of right now i'm free. Again the vinyl is furniture vinyl, it stretches but its very limited. if you stretch it, the wood grain becomes distorted and displeasing to the eye. Again i will reattempt wrapping it but as of right now ive got other things to focus on. The eg is no longer my priority, I will begin attacking the Crx.

However, i got distracted when i was surfing the Honda forum and stumbled across these. Talked the guy down from $500 to $350. Drove the eg sedan over 2 hours round trip and got another set of what some people would call "SHIT" wheels but eh I don't carrrreeeeeeee.

              Dr 54 15x8.25 20et 195/50/15

Then it hit me... well i'd be taking my wheels off anyways so why not test fit something thats just been sitting around... Why not those kmc 78's

              So I cleaned them up (15x8 -25offset, 165/55/15)

And slapped them on for shits and giggles. Things are just Nasty As Fuck

              Front

              Rear

Its better to put them om my crx, camber the shit out of them, with fender flares and call it the weekend BATTLE TANK

But for now the dr 54s will be decent daily shoes

That was todays fun. Talking to a guy about a pair of 88 si crx doors and a front core support. We'll see where that leaves me

Hey guys, I'm still around and got some updates for anyone who cares. First off I found more "SHIT" wheels just because they were a great deal. For $320 and a one hour drive i picked these 15x8 diamonds with 165/50 series tires. one was blown but eh still a great deal. let my twin buy them and after his new tire arrived for $48 plus shipping

and now my twins newly acquired ef hatch has new shoes. still his work in progress

And i let my buddy borrow my xxrs because he needed wheels, i get them back and they're purple.....

But I also bought some one piece coilovers for my eg hatch for Xmas, i did make the mistake of buying the wrong kind. I saw a set on sale and thought they were the yonaka set that i wanted but they were some off brand sickspeed. I dont have any picks of them when they showed up. However old skunk 2 on stock struts came out

                New sickspeeeds going in

                rear

                pic of the fronts

                adjusted & maxed out

                other one

                Maxed out

                fronts in

bought brand new, never used rear camber kit off some kid for $10. they are most likely from ebay

                Comparison: stock vs. Ebay

                old

                new & maxed out :0

                Someone say negative camber

Now I took these old coils from the hatch

                slapped them on the sedan

                fronts in

while removing the rears the bolt snapped, making this far more annoying then it should be

after messing with it for over an hour and no progress, it was safe to say the bolt was seized and now has become one with the control arm/shock so i brought out my good friend.

                2 minutes later boom

but i now needed a new control arm since the bolt wouldnt budge so crazy rays i went. found a civic

got the control arm for $17.... and boom rear in

did the other side, front went right in and boom. broke the same bolt being ever so gentle.

Needless to say after another trip to crazy rays and $17 later. they are all in and its sitting prettier. dr54s are going in as soon as my tuner lug nuts arrive.

I decided that in the 4 months that ive owned my eg hatch it has only been washed once. so car wash! Sitting lower and prettier

Yes wood grain hood and bumper and gone. Future parts & plans are coming along for more lows. See ya!

I am happy to see positive progress being made here.

However. Take those scissor jacks and put them in the dumpster before the car falls on you. Costco has a good floor jack for $100 and you can get solid jackstands wherever for just about nothing. Take it from someone who has had a car fall while working on it.

The civic looks nice! Can't wait to see what the CRX looks like. To be completely honest i actually like the woodgrain look...

Quick Updates For Those Who Enjoy Reading Builds !

Hey stance family, friends and what not's. I just wanted to chime in because I can never sit still, I like the recent positive posts because it just reminds me that others still respect other peoples work even if its not their personal cup of tea. Welp remember that $600 eg sedan well I did say the dr 54's were specifically purchased for that car and with my friend

                            Mr. Hammer

                            &

Miss Hello Kitty bat, the wheels are on with no rubbing. Yayyyyyyyyyyy!!! rejoice

Yes I am being serious. Those are the tools which i've always used to roll fenders on every car I've ever owned. Some can say "WTF MAN" or "BUY A FENDER ROLLER" or "YOU FUCKED UP YOUR ALREADY SHITTY CARS" but hey. 20 year old Honda needs some clearance and there will be getting painted in the future so oh wells.

I did decided to wash the vacuum the eg sedan though because it has yet had the chance to sparky and shine with LOVE. So here are some pics

                            Opening all four doors

Before: It was pretty gross. Last owner was a slob. this pic shows after all the paper, receipts, toy cars and trash. Granted the carpet needs some serious shampooing.

                            After: Nice and clean

Now for a nice bath. After shots of the cleanest this car has been in a very long time

The car cleans up pretty well. Im not even close to being satisfied with the ride height but when you think well he's only in for $600 for the car, $350 for the wheels, suspension were a gift from my hatch back. For under $1000 I have this reliable car which I would drive anywhere.

                            But thats not all

                            Remember this guy?

Its now his turn. Lets go back and discuss the issues with this CRX. So during the summer it blew a headgasket which i replaced. I even had the head honed just in case even though the car never over heated. I slapped the engine back together and then the car sat and has been neglected. So recently I've begun messing with it again, jump started it and it stated and idle fine. I even let the car idle for 20 mins to make sure nothing was wrong. However, it begun over heating when i tried driving it around my apartment complex. ATM i do not know for certain why it happened.

What i do know is that its leaking coolant from behind the block or underneath the header. So conclusion, the cooling system has issues whether i forgot to plug up a hose or maybe a hose exploded or even a crack in the cooling system. Its not a huge problem and when it stops snowing it'll be my number one priority.

However, i did finally find something i've been searching for since i first bought the car. Boom for $100 i got a front core support, 2 mint 88 si crx doors, and 2 fenders. YES!?! drove to York to grab them but it was quite a bundle for $100.

fenders are behind both doors. Hard having car hobbies when you live in an apartment. Thats what happened so far, I'll keep in touch because i can't sit still. It might be a little slow because this past Monday I also started my final semester at the University of Baltimore. In 16 weeks however i'll have my Bachelors Degree and have all the time in the world for more projects!

                                More Updates

Hey guys so some things happened. First off my clutch in my eg sedan lost all pressure and wouldn't engage. Simple took me 5 seconds to figure out it didn't have any fluid in the slave cylinder

Filled it up and boom problem solved.

Next the crx, i started messing with that, so i put it on jack stands and crawled under it

Couldn't figure out why or where it was leaking coolant so I jump started it

                                and sure enough

Coolant everywhere. Ive narrowed it down and i first thought it was coming out the hole on the far right.

Plugged it up with jb weld and again started the crx.... Still leaking coolant so i will again crawl under it and keep up the search. However in the mean time i thought that those deb felgenwerks weren't being put to good use so BOOM

So yes the hunt continue to fix the damn crx. It shouldnt be long, I'll see where tomorrow brings me. BTW the xxrs are for sale hopefully someone buys those damn things from me !
