So I found a W128 for sale for $1800 in my town today and I really want to do it. The guy doesn't even realize what he has. Thoughts?

All I can say is I'm so glad I'm painting the engine bay rather than leaving it raw. Although by now I've mastered the ball peen hammer mixed with flap wheels and finishing wheels, then wire brush.

I actually really like that idea as well. Something easily removable/ unique

Another night and a lot more progress. The exterior perimeter has been shaved of all holes from the chrome trim and the holes filled for the amber marker lights/antenna. Oh and I lost my lighter so we learned how to light a cigarette with a welder

I like that one a lot. Definitely let me know if you still have one. I'm going to see how many I can get together for this.

    A) Have us all send you a copper coin and make a sweet license plate frame using the coins you recieve.

    B) Depending on what steering wheel you use (nardi for instance) make a custom insert and put the coins in there

What better way to make us a part of your build. Then I can also own .000000001% of your car if you put my penny on it. So it's techinically mine at least 1 weekend out of the year.

Started welding earlier, been working our way around the perimeter where the trim was to shave that along with the holes from the marker lights. Rust repair and bay will be next.

I was stubborn and didn't have my mask on for the shots and got flash burned pretty good.

Then to stop the car you push the knob in and then turn the key to off and take it out.

Like mentioned above, weird mercedes diesel shit lol, but definitely the most badass feature of the car
That sounds pretty dang sick ha
