So my buddy picked up a 30 ft camper for free and agreed to strip it down to frame and strengthen it in exhange for me buying him a 1 car trailer. Now I'll be able to bring all my cars to the shows
Hey everyone, love seeing all the rad shop/garage setups in here and thought I would contribute and show what I have going on. I'm in the mood to write so I'm going to get pretty detailed on this.
A little back story to how it all unfolded, in February of 2012 I embarked on my first real car...
Ive seen a Garage build thread on here I believe. Theres one guy (I think also in australia) who does custom furniture along with his project cars. His shop is great!
CubbyChowder. He has a BMW 2002. Great thread and furniture.
Lights off the walls are great idea. I used to have a single fluro with a 2m lead which we hung around the shed where required. Perfect for hanging under the bonnet to get light that a ceiling light won't reach.

I always wonder why people never hang lights on the walls ~5ft off the ground for more light from weird angles. Light from above is great but light from the sides would be useful sometimes. Its something I'm gonna do when I get my own shop.
I read through it a bit last night. The Aussie forums doesn't seem to exist any more? Or maybe it went though yet another name change [I believe it had 2 while I was active in the car audio scene].
Starting on the page of garage building, but look thought the whole thread if you have time. He's an amazingly skilled guy!
Ahhh, a garage build thread... I remember on the Car Audio Australia forums a German guy joined [Robop]. Other than his amazing SQ BMW build he ran a garage build thread, including building the actual garage, all cabinetry and many custom tools or accessories. I'm gonna go find it again. It has some amazing ideas in it because he was so keen on not wasting space anywhere!
I'd definitely like to see that. I'm going to be really putting in a lot of work to make the shop more like a shop rather than just a messy garage.

I got around to picking up some lumber today to start on the work bench and cabinets. It's about time I get this shop setup properly so I can actually get some work done.
