Operation Dirty Penny - '75 Merc 240D

Spent an hour or so gutting the interior last night, going to need to do some fixing on the floors which gave me a few other new ideas.

The interior was in great shape for the most part, just doesn't fit into the wildness of what is in store for the rest of the car.

Garage investment appears to be paying off. You wouldn't even have been able to consider doing this in a parking lot.lol Looking forward to this man keep it up.

I'm not big into VW's, but I leased a jetta few years ago and ended up with this, and since it shares the same chassis as an Audi TT and A3/S3 its actually a really simple swap.

I've done some crazy stuff in the parking lot (had the motor and tranny out of my mk6 for a month out there, vinyl wrapped the whole car twice out there along with everything else), but yea it definitely makes a difference having the shop. Things happen at least 99% more efficiently lol

I actually really like brown leather interior, I just wanted a fresh start though for this build. Had to do something different.

I'm sure you know this, but my childish demand for being correct on the internet cant let it go. The interior is MBtex - which is vinyl. Be thankful as any leather, like the kind in the older S-classes is usually completely trashed by now, but the MBtex holds up surprisingly well.

Lol its ok I was expecting that when I wrote out leather, I should have said the "leather look". I'm actually very preferential to faux leathers such as MBTex because of how well they hold up in comparison.

Got the doors and the glass out last night, things are really starting to come apart fast.

Started on the door jambs and the roof today while cleaning up a lot of the tight spots around the rest of the car.
