It's all in the prep work. Given that the copper is so thin, the finish takes on the look of the steel underneath so I've been sanding external panels to mirror finish then plating.

If there isn't (at least) 1 US copper penny included in this build somewhere, I will shit a kitten.

Even if its something subtle, like a custom wood grain shift knob with an inlay cutout, a penny placed in and sealed. Lincoln would be proud.

Damn that was supposed to be surprised. I was actually planning on making an inlay in the pull start handle for just that.
