Ahoy mates,
I had another thread of w114 awesomeness, but it was a bit all over the shop with me going through 3 mercs within a few months.,
So this thread is devoted to my Coupe build, heres the specs:
1972 280ce 2 door coupe, dark blue, Auto, dark blue leather interior.

Latest pic
originally had a royal blue paint job applied at some point, whatever happened with it its now cracking and lifting so i will be working panel by panel stripping it back fixing any rust and sealing it ready for a respray, will more than likely keep it a similar blue as i quite like it.
Mods so far-
Lowered, small exhaust, Older style tail lights and steering wheel fitted, 16' steelies painted shadow chrome with white walls applied, and general just maintaining this beast while i have been driving it around.. and my newest addition is a luggage rack.
Future plans- Respray, Airbags, and if/when the engine or gearbox needs money spent on it possibly a 302 or 351 transplant, but for now she is just a low and slow hood ride inspired ratty rolling restorer
enjoy!
How i got it:

Wheel alignment on the way home

Wheels and lowed

Interior

Blowing a fuel pump 200 meters from home...

Luggage rack trial fit

Test driving the luggage rack

First load of the rack

So now I'm pretty focused on this luggage rack, its an actual old school rack that i had to get a bit creative with to make fit, I'm a bit of the fan of the old patina look so i just scotched the whole think with soapy water and fitted it up, but I'm wondering if i should paint it white, chrome it, or maybe sand it all up and clear it as is, interested to hear your guys thoughts
